1. Several years ago I adopted an older dog from shelter. When I first met her, she was so grimy, greasy, and dirty that I was going to take a pass on her. But while petting her, she leaned into me with such a sweet lean that I said "okay I will take her". After adopting her, I took her straight to the groomers & they bathed her & shaved her grimy coat away. I had her for only a year and a half. I learned she had a spinal cord disease that was never going to get better, only worse. She was such a sweet dog. Her name was Alice, but I always called her "Sweet Alice". I hope she is doing okay, and running around having the time of her life!

2. You are such beautiful people, thank you for rescuing this beautiful pup. The owner should be caged and starved till dead. Huskies are such beautiful dogs. No animal deserves such cruelty

7. In Spain, domestic animals will soon have an ID card, all must have a chip, and all are being granted rights. Way to go!

8. Who is the person who did this? Why aren't you allowed to say the name of the person? Everyone should know, especially if he's not going to get into legal trouble. Don't they have animal cruelty laws wherever this is? Why would anyone ever put a puppy in a small cage and leave him to starve, it's sadistic and barbaric.

He has such a beautiful Soul, as do you dear rescuer. 💕🐾p.s I had a feeling from that first hug that she wasn’t going to give him up at the end. They Love each other too much. 😌

15. great rescue! what country was this in? hope the owner was prosecuted for cruelty!! FYI, Esther is a GIRLS name, yet you keep referring to this dog as HE and HIS etc which are male pronouns. the proper FEMALE pronouns would be SHE and HER…just so you know for future reference when describing male/female dogs. keep up the good rescue work!!

18. Not sure she is a Husky.
    She seems to me an Alaskan Malamute, that are, in my opinion, the most lovely, affective, loyal and wonderful dogs.
    Lovely dog and lovely story.
    Shame to the owner!

Thank you for rescuing and then adopting Esther! 🙌🏽He is such a gorgeous boy – but when you rescued him, I really cannot understand how a RICH person could keep the dog in such horrific conditions. That poor dog looked like he was 15 years old! I'm glad he was young when you rescued him, so he wasn't in those conditions for a super long period (but one day is too long!). I wish the owner could be charged with animal cruelty and given a heavy fine or even jail time! HE should be put in that cage for a week, with no food or water and see what his dog felt! So very happy that Esther got the very best home – with you! ❤

29. How many times are you bathing that dog that shouldn't ever live in a hot country?
    Husky's have natural oils in their skin. They need frequent brushing but not a 2 week bathing routine.
