A tsunami has hit the Pacific nation of Tonga after an undersea volcano erupted.
The extent of the damage is still unclear as many phone lines are down.
Warnings remain in place for Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu and parts of Australia.

We heard the shock waves caused by this eruption today morning, on Jan 15th which is several hours afterward, as far as around Whitehorse, Yukon in Canada. The booming sound has reached Anchorage, Alaska and hit us too!
No one deserves this.
If this is just tge beginning I hate to see what will be the peak.

You might want to look into the solar activity that occurred during Tonga Eruption. NASA has turned off search tool, so those images are unavailable but I took screenshots and posted them.
I’m really sorry for the Pacific Islanders who have affected by the volcanic eruption and tsunami. Especially those in Tonga. My thoughts and prayers to those who have been affected.
