  2. Indian railway is the most dangerous network on the planet. It's the Britishers who built it and after 1947, Indians failed to maintain it. Shame on all the politicians and bureaucrats.

  3. So sad to hear 😢 Rip please upgrade lhb coaches. One thing to say Indian railways please repaint icf blue coaches this utkrisht livery very bad livery I,we don't like to travel in this livery we can't feel the feeling of old train. If icf livery is back I,we will travel train on every day happily 😊. Please replay my comment guys and tell this to Indian railways

  4. Train drivers need shiftwise duties roundtrips ! In goods trains working hours so many times more than 12 hours sometimes more than 20 hours continuously! As a human it's very dangerous to work as per safty ! Every officer says safty first but no one officer says more than 8/10/12 hours don't work ! Infact if drivers says after 12 hours we can't work means pressures and mental tentions to drivers ! As a human need rest after 8 hours of working ! This journey as well as in heat engines so definitely within 6 hours body needs rest but they are forcing to work more than 20 hours also many times !

  5. Proud to be a Jalpaigurian.I'm from Dhupguri (35km away from the accident site) .You guys can't imagine that how the residents of Jalpaiguri district came with their helping hands. From rescuing, to first aid, blood donation in huge quantity we have done a splendid work last night. Just for the combined efforts of Jalpaiguri district residents, North Bengal transport corporation, district administration, ambulance service, NGOs the number of deads have been reduced. I myself gave blood last night.

  7. A really sad accident after a long time. Thankfully, Indian Railways is upgrading all trains to have LHB coaches and the rake upgrades have happened at a breakneck speed. IR's production units like ICF, RCF, MCF are literally pumping out LHB coaches at a massive rate. But what to do, the system itself is too spread out and large to be managed under a single entity. To focus on the safety of every section, IR needs to be more decentralised. It should stop being merely a government department and become a government corporation with public-private partnerships.
