On 23 March 1994, Aeroflot Flight 593 stalls and crashes while en route to Hong Kong, killing all 75 people on board. The pilot’s 15-year-old son accidentally disabled the autopilot while in the captain’s seat, causing the aircraft to bank heavily to the right, inducing the stall.

“It wasn’t the crew’s fault but a misfortune” says the Russian guy….. misfortune? What about a gross mishandling irresponsible and infantile behaviours of a captain. Shameful.
If the captain would of been able to get back in his seat without that g force they would of saved the plane.
I would rather let a 7 year old drive a car than a 15 yr old fly a plane with 75 people on board
Absolutely reckless and selfish
Moral of this story….Leave the kids at home to play with their Lego.
By 21:30, when the autopilot was no longer active, the co-pilot had the plane under control, he suspended the dive by pulling back on the elevator – but then the aircraft regained altitude with increasing angle of attack.
Couldn't he have ended that by pushing the stick forward again and backing off the gas? Even he did'n know nothing about the stall recovery-automatic?
A 1000% Russian accident if there ever was one, this never would happen in America or western Europe.
Wow RIP 77 Beautiful Angle's 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Horrible Story Plane Crashed Poor People's And Children's 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 From Edinburg Texas
This is an unforgivable mistake . To die like this is unfortunate, how do you tell your story in the afterlife? A child in a cockpit midflight
The saddest thing I've ever watched. Many people try to get out of harm's way and escape death by all means, all this pilot did was to hand them all over to death free of charge. Sucks
It’s the kids fault
Kid deserves some blame. 15 isn't 8.
Only in Russia u learn ur kid to fly a airbus in any situation
yes absolutely, and that is the very right move to do
Couldn't they imagine it being life-threatening? Take the kid to the airplane simulator center or
something.
It is NOT an airbus. It’s a frikken AIRPLANE, man!!!
Its just many factors comes together at once…sure at the first place is the fathers fault…but that incident shows an important flaws that nobody realize… incomplete training or missing information n experience about how the new plane autopilot would works…
I think theres many improvement taken just by referring to this disaster
Wonder, you have truly made me to never board a plane again. This makes be so nervous now to travel by plane.
That is not correct that your child was one to handle of that work because he not a Pilots
In Russia kid flies you
This is basically a massively-magnified case of the graveyard spiral. Pilot gets disoriented during a long, slow bank, gravity pulls his body one way, disorientation pulls his mind overpoweringly in another direction, and before you know it, the plane is spinning at full speed towards the ground with no hope of recovery. That's why pilots train extensively under the hood with only instruments to guide their inputs on the flight controls. Sitting level while disoriented feels like you're falling, but having to fight gravity while disoriented and highly-stressed in order to keep an airplane from killing you and many innocent others? Good luck, pal.
Here mistake purely of that pilot .He allowed his kid to do the work .How that kid can fly at the moment without having any full knowledge , without training . So here mistake is done by pilot only …
Why the father is buried at the hero's cementry because only his actions are the trigger for this tragic accident.
Doesn't matter if the plane had a lack of security warnings in that situation, so why would you call him a hero for what?
The kids do nothing wrong they are not responsible for there fathers stupid actions so there graves are at the right place for shure.
This is sad 🙁
Geez
It could of been avoided if they let go of the control and training geez 🙁
To this day I would not step foot on Aeroflot.
In soviet russia, we let kids play with lives
but in all seriousness, sure the kid is very interested to be a pilot one day like his dad, doesnt mean that you need to give the kids the plane, this is just plain irresponsibility
Unbelievable
Ain’t that a b:tch wow it was dangerous to have anyone else flying this anything could have happened and it did
This Is an example of entertainment gone too far
The Captain was an irresponsible idiot. You don't give the control of an aircraft to an ignorant 15 year old and put the lives of passengers at risk.
If the Captain wanted his kid to fly an aircraft then he should have had him obtain an ATP License.
Period.
How irresponsible… 😪
Why in grims name are these pilots buried in a heroes grave ?
really unlucky
It's sad how things can go so wrong at times.
Ok, you are the pilot not your kids .. leave your kids in the cabin or just don't bring them inside the cockpit during the flight … Don't risk everyone's lives just for your own good ..
stupidity never extinct
I remember in 1998(6yo) my first flight, I got to sit in the cockpit of a decent sized jet, before takeoff. It was a spectacular experience I still remember vividly. I didn't touch anything because there was so many switches and dials that amazed me. The pilots showed me how stuff worked and gave me some kids flying badge lol. I think it's great to show kids the cockpit, but from this tragedy it shows how you have to pay strict attention to them. Though after 911 I don't think it's allowed anymore.
I remember during the 90s there were so many planes accidents its was unbelievable. This was just one of the many unfortunately events, stupidity can still taught us a vulnerable lesson in the end.
Do not mix family with business
If there is a loud verbal warning AUTOPILOT OFF maybe this would not happen.
well kid,i think your future as a pilot may be at an end ,i know your dads is for sure.
Humans do mistakes, he was just trying to be a great dad and he is , but unfortunately something like this is too heavy for a kid to handle. Don't blame anyone now it's set in the history, things like this will definitely happen in the future and that's how things work around Human life❤️🔥💔💯
I don't even know who is more at fault, the pilot for allowing his children access to the flight controls OR the airline for not properly training the pilots on how to fly that model of aircraft…
This is why I don't want to fly
Scary thinking if the auto pilot shuts off the pilots are lost to what to do?? And if they cant find some reason ,other than the boy causing this ,,the law suits will be enormous. Even bigger than they were.
And men wonder why their wives are so “uptight”. We don’t want to be, we HAVE TO be cuz of your dumbasses.
🤦🏻♀️No, don’t throw the baby.
🤦🏻♀️No, don’t let my 8 yr old drive the truck.
🤦🏻♀️NO, DON’T LET MY 15 YR OLD FLY THE COMMERCIAL AIRLINER!
Yes, Boris. This was wery, WERY embarrassing.
