I had never seen any of this footage before. That channel does a good presentation. I would enjoy more of this kind of stuff occasionally.
well this is kind of late……..but Bless you miss Asia
Bless you 🙂
The guy with the falling trees starts using his wipers like there going to just wipe of the trees, lol. Glad they were okay, but had to lol a little there.
I notice you only have 2 reactions to British comics, then whilst watching i see why. You struggle to understand British people talking, why is it Americans struggle to understand us Brits but we don’t struggle to understand Americans. It’s a shame as we have so many great comics both men & women that you’d enjoy, maybe there’s subtitles that help. Keep trying please they’re good.
Amy Lee wrote the song "Never Go Back" about that Japanese tsunami.
Not an expert, but the description of the landslide (? Didn't see any soil flowing onto the road surface, though the trees that were falling were rooted close by) in #2 doesn't seem likely to be accurate. Those evergreens evolved for mountainous terrain; they don't tend to have deep roots, because there's not often deep soil on a mountain (tends to slide off). It's unlikely, then, that the roots were doing a lot to hold the soil in place anyway. A more likely explanation is probably that the soil became water-logged and heavy, and the topsoil layer came loose from the ground layer beneath it where the two interfaced. It's similar to a snow avalanche in that respect.
You can sometimes see the shallowness of roots in such trees in those tall (50'+) Colorado blue spruces that are popular suburban trees. Once they get big enough and/or start to reach the end of their lives, a strong wind can pull the root system from the ground entirely. It's shocking to see how shallow the roots on such a tall tree can be.
Fukushima. Dear God, it was probably dumber than Chernobyl in a lot of ways. First, TEPCO decided that, in an area well-known for tsunamis, it was a good idea to cite the vital and delicate back-up generators that would keep the coolant flowing in the event of a loss of power, in the basement. People who put their basement stereos on shelves because their local storm sewer occasionally backs-up showed more foresight. Second, TEPCO was warned about Fukushima's vulnerability 21 years before the disaster, by the US NRC. Nothing was done (by comparison, the Soviets only knew of the vital flaw in RBMK reactors 10 years before Chernobyl). Lots of other instances of pure negligence, malfeasance, and laziness in the case, and that's in one of the best-regulated nuclear industries in the world. God knows what plants in less stringent nations are doing.
To sum up; we learned nothing from Chernobyl. In fact, we made basically all the same mistakes, but worse. And absolutely no-one was held accountable for it, or will be.
15:10 The driver of that black car is probably glad they learned to do 3-point turns under pressure.
If you're interested, here's a 3-min video comparing the sizes of known tsunamis in history, using Manhattan as a benchmark (you may want to mute the strangely-upbeat music): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAEbtqsrF3Y
18:35 I think they usually just let the gas burn itself off. This sometimes doesn't work as well as one might hope (or maybe too well?). In nearby Turkmenistan, there's a 230 ft pit, created when a Soviet drilling rig inadvertently punched through the top of a natural-gas cavern. They decided to light the fumes, to burn them off. They thought the process might take a few weeks. That was 51 years ago. As you can probably guess from the name, the "Gates of Hell" are still burning today.
Great reaction, thanks! It's neat to mix it up and hear your thoughts on more obscure material.
My son lives in Ohio and is an storm chaser. Last year he chased and spotted a tornado at night. Most storm chasers won’t chase at night because you can only see the tornado when lightning is striking. But because he called it in and triggered a tornado warning, people took shelter. His actions are credited with saving many lives.
Hey Asia! Have you heard of the Legend of Vox Machina? It’s a really great show and I hope you get a chance to check it out I think you might like it.
Bless you! 😉
Okay like what you doing. I thought my toilet running over was a disaster.
Omg. Those poor people. How do you recover from those. I'm never complaining about UK weather again.
Hey Asia. When are you going to get back to the ghost videos? I sent you a link to the new Frostmare to your Instagram. Have a great weekend.
I lived through the Black Summer bush fires in Australia (Jul 2019 – Mar 2020) and the Black Saturday bushfires in Australia. (7-8 Feb 2009) wild fires as you guys in the States call them are other wordly the sound Wild Fires is nightmare fuel, the ash chokes out the sun and the heat sucks all the oxygen out of the airthe sound of cattle and other live stock crying as they get caught in the flames still haunts me to this day.
Asia, I saw that same old man trying to escape too.
Need more vids like this, very informative
BLESS YOU, KASHUNTITE LOL
tornado's are no joke, I live in tornado alley but thankfully the biggest ones are in the southern parts of my state…crap hope I didn't jinx myself. (crosses self just in case) In my teens I walked outside of the fast food place I worked when the rain let up, looked east and saw a double rainbow, looked west and saw a small tornado drop out of the clouds. It did a quarter mile of damage then was gone. So glad there is spellcheck here and I caught it or I would of been saying I live in tomato alley. LMAO
Bless you
btw 5:16 🤣
Love watching these too sooo much 🤷♀️ Fire Reaction ASIA ♥️ ya
The people who had the trees fall on them are very lucky they were skinny trees, if they were twice the diameter there car would have been squished a lot worse.
They're all scary things to see close up..
I watched the the 2011 tsunami in Japan live, too. My Aunt woke me up and I ended up going to her house. We stayed up all night watching crying and being devastated and shocked something so horrible like that was actually happening 😔
It looks surreal. That is probably the best word I can think of, especially when it comes to a tsunami. Water is so unassuming that people just stand there. Even if California where we get warnings of a pending tsunami waves, they will stand near the marinas just to watch the docks being destroyed and the waves hit the sidewalks. I don't understand them.
Let's goooo!!! 🍿🍿
Those aren't even the scariest. There is a fresh water lake in an African country that has thermal vents on the lake bottom that spew carbon dioxide into the water. The water became saturated with carbon dioxide. At some point, something agitated the water enough to cause the carbon dioxide to release. The carbon dioxide stayed close to the ground and spread out. Every village and animal around the lake died.
Asia… I can think of worse “natural disasters” than these…. Namely certain reality tv shows & ESPECIALLY the Kardashians 😂😂😂
Hawaii have everything, earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, volcano
I really like variety and glad you saw natural disasters from your buddy. Don't forget Kitboga with new content out and Top 5 Anesthesia reactions. Lightning fascinates me; tornadoes are cool to see but never to be in. If you haven't seen it. I highly suggest you see the film Twister with Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. I would have left when I first saw it with the fam. Holy Jeebus. Well you won't see me in Slovakia with falling trees. Steve says: No! Ma'am!
Hi Asia enjoy the channel great reactions best wishes from Tucker.London England 🏴💙
Asia… The first one (🌪🌪🌪)… If you see it getting bigger, that’s when you should be HAULING ASS OUT OF THERE!!! 😵💫😵💫😵💫. I know people like filming these disasters but if I was in one, I’d be thinking of “self preservation” first & foremost & as for filming (if I was that stupid)…. OH HELLLL NO!!! 😲👎
Asia: Sneezes
Me: God bless you ( said out loud, as if she could hear me) 💗💗🤷♀️😅
@ 0:45… “As y’all can see, I’m doing something a little different”… Asia, that’s putting it mildly 😂😂😂. From Dave Chappelle to Fluffy to natural disasters… YOU’RE GOING ACROSS THE SPECTRUM BABY GIRRRL!!! ♥️👍😄♥️
