  1. Ring neck doves unless they are native to the area cannot be released as they can hybridize with mourning doves and pigeons. This is for the United States btw.

  2. I also rescued a baby dove, I fed her for 2 months, I needed to go to the hospital, an had to send her to a wild rescue, a month, I went outside for my my morning coffee, and there she was. She will come bye from time to time, and sit on my railing while I have my coffee, we chat about the weather, ect, me in my human voice, her in her bird voice, we always just seem to know what the other is thinking, I miss her as a baby she would always take naps with me, she would cuddle up under my chin,

  3. I have a pigeon that came to me when she was 5. She didn't imprint on me, she married me! When she produced an egg (far too often) she'd do what we called "The Clucky Dance". She would pace quickly back and forth warbling excitedly. And she'd peck me really hard to get my attention to pet her. Poked me in the eye once. Gotta watch them beaks!

  4. At 0:24, the bird is "having sex" with the lady that's petting it: the only time a bird gets stimulated on the back is when it's mating. If you observe the posture of the bird while it's being petted on the back, the head is down, the body is low to the ground and the wings are flared out from there body.
As far as the bird is concerned, that human is its mate.

  5. My brother and I rescued an injured adult dove many years ago. She had an injured wing and we kept her in a large cage and fed her canary seed until she seemed better. When we released the bird in our back yard, she flew up into a low hanging branch and would visit us there whenever we were in the yard. This lasted for several years.

  6. I also raise a baby pigeon back in my high school days, he is a male red pigeon, i paired him in a blue bar hen, whenever he go and get stick for their nest he always go to the mirror to see himself before putting the stick in their nest. He was so sweet, i even cried when he broke free from his loft when he is still young, i though he was not going to return back to his house but gladly he came back. He always go to my head whenever he see me. But then the saddest part came, he got hit by a truck and died, it was so heartbreaking for me :'( i love that bird so much, his name is burukutok. Thank you for the memories burukutok.

  7. Wow congrats on your success! One thing I e noticed is that ring net doves tend to be much tamer than other breeds such as mourning doves. And once you let them outside, they will always return for a while. But please don’t ever throw a bird up in the air. Some, like many doves, won’t open their wings when being thrown upward. Congrats on all of it, but especially the feeding! Since doves and pigeons produce crop milk, they are more more difficult to feed and raise. What a beautiful bird. AND a wonderful family for saving it.

  8. I think it should be illegal for Closed Captioning to be innaccuragely translated. It should read EXACTLY as the person speaking; word for word instead of being changed to fit the desires of the video editor.

  9. Once they've found affection, birds extend trust and bond. She's very secure in her relationships willing to slap human fingers with her wing. Great job ❤️💖💕. Oh, you might like the channel called 'a chick called albert'
