Natural disaster 16 February 2022. The city is sinking! Devastating flooding sweeps away houses and cars in Petrópolis, Brazil
This Wednesday morning in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, was marked by the damage caused by the heavy rains that hit the municipality in the mountainous region of the state on Tuesday.
The monthly amount of precipitation of 2 hundred and sixty mm fell for six hours in the city.
The most affected region is known as Morro da Oficina where about 50 houses were damagd.
Several traders were working to clean up their workplaces after the invasion of the flood. Some roads were completely blocked with the accumulated mud.
