I’d let that tree alone, because it it grows taller and clears view of the water fall it may look really cool the way it swoops out. And yea I’m pretty sure it’s a willow. You can always cut it down later.

Im 26 and all I have in my house is a small betta fish rack . about 30 of them.. I am proud of what you have accomplished at an early age.. Cant wait to see more birds added to your aviary.

I still think you should get a couple little Ruddy ducks with their bright blue Bill's Nd and feet!! They are native to the west coast and are pretty small, they are diving ducks and will help control the fish populations!
I've got much respect for you Blake, what you have accomplished with fires and lighting strikes to contend with as well!! I am Oglalla Lakota and in the Lakota way anybody who has been struck by lightning and survived especially more than one time is considered a "Heyoka" a contrary, and from what I've seen, the way you do things I believe you are one. Contraries in the old days had a special way with the horses and were Buffalo callers and seers, they have a special connection to the mother (earth) and many were great healers also!! Leave the tree, maybe just trim it back a little!
Looks like a willow. There is 400 types of tree shrub versions. Willows like a ton of water and roots will grow towards water lines and infest them. They do adapt grow fast might be fun to be trained/shaped into bonsai. Would be better if it was a Chinese blue wisteria tree/vine look it up or dappled willow.

yeah that's a willow tree but I wouldn't cut it personally I think yours has a beautiful shape that will look best when it gets older

Keep the tree over the pond, if it gets too big you could always just give it a trim. Looks aesthetic and natural
no, leave the trees / plants right there in the pond, DO NOT CUT them down… they might like to hide under or seek refuge when heavy rain hits…. or it may be used as a tight shade area when the bright Florida sun is hittin' hard!
