A North Carolina couple turned to HGTV’s “Love It or List It” when they decided to fix up their home for future foster children. But now they’re taking the production company to court. In an interview you’ll see only on “CBS This Morning,” the homeowners gave Manuel Bojorquez a firsthand look at the work they say falls short.

This reminds me of the Tim and Eric Movie when they spent their 1-billion dollar budget on a suit made of real diamonds so the film in the movie was only 3 minutes long lol
so stupid to pay the show biz instead to the contractors
To say they have not had any issues with a single renovation is impossible to believe
Bar Rescue has had the same issues after they leave a production.
Is there any honest people left in this world
Don’t pay until the work is completed!!!
They should remove show off the air.
I’m from Scotland and I can’t believe folk walk these garbage shows. They’re so tacky and cheap. Anyone who offers up their home to appear in one of these shows only has themselves to blame.
HGTV is a channel of COMMERCIALS. 30 MINUTESIF COMMERCIALS IN 60 MINUTE SHOW. UGHH
Youre telling me that the production company doesnt fund the renovation and it uses the funds tobeing props?
I've been to the studios of real tv or Trutv and was cut from the final video. Why? Because I would not repeat the director or who ever that was telling me exactly how to talk. Fxk that lol 😆 So yea I believe the show would tell them how to act and talk.
Wow
Always knew they were crooks.
Meanwhile our Biden border is wide open
2 million illegals coming in unlimited fentanyl
667000 got aways
Youtube Fox new border crisis
I had heard about this. What a mess.
I’ve watched these shows and the costs they claim wouldn’t even cover materials.
Why would people even want to do it if you gotta pay with your own money,?
Despite their claim, I've heard many similar stories about this particular program's sham. Hope the couple gets all their money and more back.
The couple didn't know tv shows are scripted??
The parties settled the case on April 21st exactly one day before this video was posted to YT. No info on the terms.
Hello it is a TV show what did they think was going to happen? Sounds like people with buyers remorse.
that|s so disappointing…. I used to love this show
Did these home owners expect anything more from an HGTV show? WHY….WHY…..WHY would you hire a TV network to remodel your home? It's all smoke and mirrors work. Shame on the owners. They thought the work would be done cheaper and have their 5 minutes of fame. FREAKING DUMB CHEAPSKATES that wanted to be on a TV show. This is what this equates to. Sorry!!!!!!! PSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH
That’s terrible.
Wow its tv u wanted fame now u got it
Must be the contractor's fault…
ik this is an old story but this is just ridiculous !!!!!!!! i knew there was no way you could renovate an entire home in a timeframe like a week, or 4 days…..
Property Brothers did the same thing.
If the deal looks too good to be true – it is. Walk away.
Well duh, of course it's scripted. It's reality TV trash!
Believe in the television 📺 🔮
They COULD HAVE listed is as is. Of course they need direction as to whats next for filming. They sound either gullible or not ever watching the show to see it's the same script just different house and home owners. The CHOSE TO DO THIS and I'm sure it's better than it was. The show has their own budget, these people paint it as if they took their money to promote their show with staging?? Hum. There's always a counter suit option.
Husband: hey wanna let HGTV complete our renovation?
Why didn’t they show all of the alleged problems/issues?
