Every time I hear a story from an adult about being one of the kids who got leashed, they always say it was for their best. They say they would constantly run off.
Something kinda like the first story happened to me: When I was on 8th grade (I was 13, correct me if I'm wrong cause school in Mexico works different) I had a "best friend" who would constantly make jokes about me being really dumb, about nobody liking me cause I was to "loud and dumb". She would constantly underestimate everything I did, like getting a good grade or speaking the best english in our class saying things like "Well yeah, you got a good grade on that test cause it was really easy" or "You're not even that good with english, you didn't know the word I asked you to translate this morning" (and she would ask me to translate really hard words from spanish to english) and that happened almost every day. She was the "pretty and smart one" out of the two of us and would constantly remind me that boys would pay more attention to her and she was the smart one cause she had good grades. Honestly, being friends with her was really shitty, but I had no self-esteem so I just stayed and ignored how fucking rude she was to me. Then one day, we did our test to get into high school and i got in the one she wanted, but she didn't. Her mom told people that i had cheated on my test and had someone helping me (Wtf how? lol) and my "friend" didn't wanted to talk to me for almost a year. Bitch was crazy, thank God she started to ignore me cause I wouldn't have gotten away from her if it wasn't for that.
I ve never flown but don't you move your stuff when you change seats on a plane?
