9. I weep for innocent animals who are so sad & frightened due to what must have been the most horrific, most unforgivable, most heartbreaking abuse & neglect in their past. And so… I am forever grateful for this beautiful story about healing, patience & pure unconditional love. My heart is overwhelmed with absolute EXUBERANCE & JOY BEYOND MEASURE to see innocent, worthy little angel "Chips Ahoy" learn to trust again… to see his dear little tail wagging with such happiness! At long last… he has the unconditional love of a Forever Family. He knows he's finally safe in his Forever Home. God bless this beautiful selfless loving family. 12. Kudos to you and your wonderful family for adopting her. Three years ago I adopted a girl exactly like Chips; same size, color, mix breed even the white markings are the exact same. She was also abused and acted just like Chips when I brought her home. God bless you

19. I'm so thankful Chips Ahoy found her proper forever family. So many people miss out on the most incredible pets like Chips all because they won't take the time a pet may require to adjust. People don't think about how frightening it can be for an animal to go from a loving home or wherever to living in a cage at the shelter with hundreds of other distressed animals barking, whining, meowing, etc… Who wouldn't be traumatized? One should only adopt if they truly want what is best for an animal and are willing to do whatever it takes to give that animal its best life. The reward is so worth it.

20. I am currently trying to adopt a cat, and being given a morality test that is going to drive me to a no-nonsense breeder.
    Adopters like this make adopters look bad to people too invested in damaged animals. Rescuers are more likely to be hoarders, after all.
    Every time I try to adopt something I'm genuinely interested in, there's a gatekeeper sneering at me that owning a cat for 14 years isn't good enough.

23. I love to hear when a dog this shut down finds an amazing family that goes over and above to help that animal know it will be safe and never hurt by its family !!!
    This family rocks for taking chips ahoy back and making her a permanent member of their family 👪 +🐕 = family !!!!
    Thank God for thos family I hope they continue to foster to give Chips ahoy some playmates to play with !

28. As I'm watching this I was thinking "who ever adopts her better be serious & committed. She does not need a human that is gonna turn their back on her and abandon her". Then they say that her adopters returned her. Then I remembered the title of this video.

    that's the whole point to the endeavor… to find the place they belong, the People to whom they belong and the people who belong to Them.
    it is Never a failure where there is love.
