Paulus and Chuikov face off throughout the early November 1942 period, as both sides try and break the stalemate. Pioneers are sent to Stalingrad, while Eremenko launches an amphibious landing at Latashanka, showing just how ridiculous the fighting inside Stalingrad had become.

ABOUT TIK
History isn’t as boring as some people think, and my goal is to get people talking about it. I also want to dispel the myths and distortions that ruin our perception of the past by asking a simple question – “But is this really the case?”. I have a 2:1 Degree in History and a passion for early 20th Century conflicts (mainly WW2). I’m therefore approaching this like I would an academic essay. Lots of sources, quotes, references and so on. Only the truth will do.
This video is discussing events or concepts that are academic, educational and historical in nature. This video is for informational purposes and was created so we may better understand the past and learn from the mistakes others have made.

Also, I can't help but think that the Soviets must have known that the Latashanka operation was a complete waste of time. Anyone else think that?
Any thoughts on the Ukraine war, strictly weapons and tactics?
Putin and his Russians are the Nazis of our time and hopefully Kyiv will become THEIR Stalingrad !
Big ofensive for taking one hall… crazy
Id love to see a video by TIK about Gehlen and his affiliation to NATO.
Now it seems almost comical that just around a week before Uranus the Germans were arguing about which building to take first.
Love it how you don't outright blame Hitler but explain why he thought something in a particular point of time based on the knowledge he had.
althought i appreciate the content this channel provides, click baiting and portraying soviets (russians) as a failure because it's the trend now with the war in ukraine is rather pathetic and low you smug bastard
DEATH TO RUSSIA
Great stuff Tik.
Hi Tik, thanks for another detailed video, but please do consider making one about soviet operation Bagration as well,
It would have actually been a good idea to use the pioneer troops to clear the northern pocket (Gorokhov) first as a test run. Lessons learned there would be useful in the larger attack, and the infantry in the northern pocket could have been withdrawn or freed up to support the pioneers.
Always Excellent. Thanks.
Send in the Pioneers! Just like in Hell Let Loose. When someone annoying camper is sitting in the attic of a building, just stick a satchel charge on the side and blow 'em yup!
Germans should have bypassed Stalingrad from the beginning. No reason for city fights.
Another fabulous episode TIK – carefully analysed – great work! Can't wit for Operation Uranus.
The Nazis lacked the units necessary, their units lacked the men and vehicles necessary, their vehicles lacked necessary fuel and spare parts, there was a shortage of ammunition and food, and the men lacked food and winter clothing as the weather got cold. Much of their failure clearly comes down to a dramatic lack of logistical support, especially in fuel and replacement personnel. The logistical failure was complimented by a failure in leadership and intelligence. Would this be the Nazi version of a hat trick (ice hockey is big here in Minnesota) – the failure of logistics, leadership and intelligence? If so, Hitler made a lot of hat tricks.
Now do a documentary on Anzio, Monte Casino, and Market Garden.
A rapid speed episode. 12 days in one.
Is this series longer than the actual battle for stalingrad lol. Ps not a complaint
Sorry TIK I think the 29th motorized infantry division, was being kept out of Stalingrad because they Germans wanted to use it to launch an attack on Astrakhnan
