I don't know why I was stupid enough to click this and think that MAYBE GW would fucking support the ONLY army they have yet to convert to 9th, even in legend form. Don't know why I thought maybe they'd validate the ten thousand or so dollars I've spent on this fucking Taghmata army……but fuck me you need more astartes right?
The rhino is going because plastic rhinos are gone and it was a convertion piece. Also I personally dislike 7th edition due to had bought 6th stuff on the year or fucking released. I'm salty to this day.
I also wanted to ask if you know if the Solar Auxila will be playable on release or are we supposed to wait for an entire year before their rules are added?
Sounds like HH wants infinity's ARO audience.
I will probably buy that box set with the Spartan to start a new 30k loyalist force I have iron warriors and I play heresy alot, it's better than current edition 40k of IMHO.
How to write the perfect 30k rules – take 4th edition 40k and apply an 'I activate a unit, you activate a unit' system (or even make it like Bolt Action dice draws for a bit of randomness). Job done. Now let's all sit back and watch as GW creates another trainwreck, because they never learn.
So, the doom-mongers saying that the firstborn are gonna be replaced by Primaris wholesale were wrong? Hopefully? Please?

Sorprendente .
Don't know why but I can imagine them doing codexes for horus heresy
Looks like GW is trying to do a 4 game schedule for edition releases. AoS, WH OLD WORLD, 40K, 30K. If they cycle through each, they can have an edition release each year. This is an interesting way of keeping the $ pop they get at an edition release, while giving each edition a good amount of time between refreshes.
400 bucks…3d printer goes brrrr
Reactions feel to me like they've taken some inspiration from AoS 3.0 with the whole you can spend a command point to do "X" in your opponents turn. I wouldn't be surprised if this is tested out with HH but I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see this kind of mechanic bleed over into the next edition of 40k.
My love for the hobby has been dying a slow, painful death the past few years and I have sold off pretty much my entire collection (at least 30k points of 40k armies).
I think that this release though could potentially draw me back in. Always loved the lore of the Horus Heresy but could never justify the cost of building a genuine army… until now of course. Two of those big release boxes and a few of the other models could be the way to go.
Reactions rule sounds so good man add it to 40k
I think the player that goes second should be able to pick one unit to shoot + 1 for each command point spent, but that unit cant shoot next phase.
Would make the game better.
The landraider / spartan dual kit is a non starter down to design, if the spartan was a dual kit it would be the super heavy Cerberus/Typhon since they use the same hull of the spartan. But the land raider could be dual kitted with the Achillies pattern land raider.
I still think MKVI was the worst choice at this point, from a HH perspective. But GW are clearly trying to double market to both HH & 40k
I figured the box would be pricy. Not sure if I'll get it but its essentially an entire army in a box. Let's break down the points. 85pt captain. 70pts lieutenant. 720 pts of tactical marines. 340 pts of terminators. 190 pt contemptor (as built in the picture). And 460 pt spartan. 1845 points of space marines in one box and that fluctuates with whatever wargear you give things like the contemptor or various tactical squads. I suppose if I want a clean slate of space marines this is the box to do it.
$400? Hard pass, I'm interested but this a game.
a small price reduction? this is gw… it will be the same or higher
Gave an audible sigh of relief when I heard it was still gonna be based off 7th
I've never played Heresy but I do like the minis for it. I bought 2 boxes of Mark III marines to make my Space Marine Kill team which is 5 loyal members of each of the 4 legions present at Isstvan III who got whisked away via the warp into M41 after they escaped to try to warn the emperor.
Unfortunately I built them initially for KT2018 so my LW Breacher with Storm sheild and Bolter and my WE with Two chainswords and Jump pack are not legal in KT2021 so I can't field those anymore. The rest of them are fully good and legal.
surely its epic
Alternative activation.. place fucking save us from 2k point armys blowing each other up.
I heard that Sly Marbo is going to be his own faction!
Reactions are what makes Infinity the best skirmish game around, GW would be smart to lift more from them.
Tanks depicted in the new trailer vid will move to plastic.
How is that futurama meme again? Ah, yes… shut up and take my kidney
Another nail in the coffin for forge world?
am i old that i remember quad las cannon land raider and the the demios rhino when they were in plastic. and i have them both
I've always wanted a Land speeder Tempest, just not badly enough to chip off what FW wants for one.
Heresy stuff always seemed so unbelievably out of reach for the average person mostly due to availability but price too… but i am cautiously optimistic that gw will fix that now….i guess most of us will just be happy that firstborn get to live in probably the best context for them in the current state of affairs…..but am i the only one that finds it kinda sad that we're cheering for basically 7th edition rules when 6th-7th are generally considered to be the worst editions of 40k? Here's hoping that they make fixes to make it more like a 7.5 edition
Meanwhile I'm sticking with the cautious optimism for now….I'll be more than happy if i can somehow move my tri-wing dark angels to heresy at least but I'm not counting on a fully compatible transition
Hope you keep us up-to-date with heresy auspex, cheers!
Mk 2 marines when ?
If the game still have the 7th Ed rules, is a dead game, the game can be much balanced than 40k, but that complicated system it's very outdated for new players and casual people
I’m not a big mk6 guy but I have a ton of marine heads floating around and update to og marines is always welcome. Not to mention a plastic levi is just chefs kiss
a mixed landraider and spartan kit makes zero sense when you look at both kits
Perspective: The original modular Beakie marine box set contained parts for 30 miniatures for $20. Adjust for inflation all you like, but $400 for that suitcase seems like a terrible deal to me.
Stargrave's plastic kits are $35 for 20 figs. Wargames Atlantics are usually $35 for about 30.
Do you think they will bring Solar Auxila in plastic?
You might call it…Horus Hearsay
Let's hope the new HH aren't plastic ass like the plastic Contemptor.
Hope they fix some of the NL stuff. I don't think I can think of a worse Legion yet they have such fun models.
The Forge World models listed under "other things" were put on Last Chance to Buy the previous week, and were mentioned specifically on warhammer community to be returning at some point. None of them are Horus Heresy models either so they don't really have anything to do with the heresy release.
This shit will come out before IG codex, and I will be very salty about it.
If they're plastic kits, great. Otherwise nobody wants anything to do with GW's crude-ass resin.
Reactions sound like a reasonably way to do what Stratagems were intended to achieve initially.
Really looking forward to this, 75h edition wasn't perfect, and was ruined somewhat by the Codexes that came out. So hopefully GW have cleaned up the system. Only thing I wish they'd bring back are the rules for Rapid Fire weapons from 3rd edition.
I think the Damocles Command Rhino will be sticking around. It’s mentioned in some of the playtest leaks
Casan Sabius, Sevrin Loth, and Lugft Huron are all from the old badab war era of fw, this is really sad as they were the only love the red scorpions ever got. Really hope they go back to the red corsairs in 40k! Imagine the marines we'd get
im interested to see the rules for this new edition as i much prefer that style of rules. i would play it but there is far too much resin and i dont like resin
I'm excited for this, but dreading to see the cost here in the USA
Neat, but not at that price.
