    I've got some questions…
    I've bought three budgies (one from breeder, two from pet store) like 10 months. We don't know their age, but we know they are adults. They are still scared of us. We let our birds out, but they don't want to come back in cage. I mean it when we are in school and in work they come in and when we come home birds are already out. We want to see them in cage, beacuse this is the only way to make them trust you. Right? I mean beacuse if I give them a food from my hand they just fly away.
    Please help.

21. Me: lets out 2 month old finch out of cage for first time
    The finch: * bangs against windows and screams to the pigeons * freaks out * after 10 mins tries to frantically enter cage front opposite side * flies away from me even if i try to lure it towards cage opening * * doesnt come to my hand with millet on it one bit * *and when i do this when its inside the cage its the first one to hop onto my hand * and then it got really stressed and had its beak open, and had to somehow catch it and put it back into the cage *

I’ve had my budgie for over three months, did soo much research before hand, and then discovered that nothing online could recreate the hands on experience. Now my bird will step up and fly to me for millet, but I know it only wants to be with me for food. How do I change that? To simplify, my bird is only food motivated to do anything.
