yes, howd you know?
Scheduled for 2023 for the old tomb to be dismantled, I wonder how those efforts are going now with the Russian invasion. Hopefully for everyone's sake the people doing the dismantling can just do their job.
This video is so interesting, informative, insightful and compelling
Anyone who watched the mini series knows these things already.
“The project is set to conclude in 2023.”
I’m gonna guess the whole “Russian soldiers invading Ukraine and taking over the Chernobyl site” thing is gonna put a real kink in that timeline.
Also The Ucrania's Government Plant Sunflowers to absorb the radiation, I recommend to read Chernobyl 's Voice by Svetlana Aleksievich ( Nobel Prize of Literature) by the way the book is Forbidden in Russia.
All of them. So devastating. So interesting about the animals having a higher tolerance to radiation
10 things no one cares about lol
Now with the popularity of drones I’ll bet a lot of people are getting an up close look at what is too dangerous to see in person
The sad thing about this whole situation is that in general nuclear power is much cleaner and safer than fossil fuel power. The bad thing is that when it goes bad it goes VERY bad.
Everyone knows these facts tho
Why can't Europe control their nuclear properties, like we've never had a reactor or anything explode in the US, so wtf is the issue, we usually take all the shortcuts but it gotta be just be incompetence over there
Just finished the TV show, it's worth a watch if you haven't already 9/10
The fallout downwind from nuclear meltdowns and nuclear tests are quite hi. It has been reported that the Russians that temporarily took over the plant now has radiation sickness.
there's so many things you didn't no about the chernobyl disaster i can count them on one hand
They say if the red forest ever catches fire it will far worse then the original disaster . Of course the most fascinating thing is the fact they fed small animals that had cancerous tumors on them food that was high in antioxidants and it help cure or prolong their lives .
Produced before Feb 2022? An interview about currrent events, sugested some returnees thought 30 mile exclusion-zone was the lesser evil to political issues from previous areas, with the Russian conflict in Ukrain.
Chernobyl was not state of the art, it was an unsafe design that other nuclear powers, had advised the Russians, not to build.
The radiation given off by the damaged nuclear power plant inside the sarcophagus, is 50 times that of Jupiter.
Putin's invading army are trampling around the Chernobyl area….idiots.
Why is it 10 things you didn’t know if people who have studied Chernobyl know pretty much everything that is in this list? I mean like I can understand people who don’t know anything about Chernobyl and it would be more helpful for them but maybe it could help if there was actually new stuff about the disaster
hopefully that area will be normal after time
Oh… Chernobyl thee…. I still remember the first tremor and shaking of building complex we lived in…. God bless my father who immediately started his vehicle and rushed out taking us and leaving everything behind…… I still can't shake that day's images from my mind.. Rip all those who perished due to it…
Everything is what we already know😅😅😅 expected some top secret info
I have heard about the elephants foot
Seriously? Right now the Russian Army it's all around Chernobyl and digging in Red Forest and we all are one step closer to nuclear war or nuclear terrorism….and what u do ?
Turn a blind eye.
My warning to you all : this situation have the potential to be 10 times worse so be aware
Think there is a type in the title of this video, should be 10 thinks everyone knows about Chernobyl
Thanks for this one, Ms. Rebecca.
Nice to see WatchMojo’s posting videos other than entertainment.
And given Russia’s artillery strikes on the Ukraine’s nuclear facility a few weeks back, it seems apropos.
Keep it up! 👍
A MEH April fools joke.
But if you are interested in this whole nuclear reactors and experiments stuff, I'd highly recomend you Kyle Hill's series of videos.
This is what happens when people trust "The Science" without question
As someone doing their dissertation on Chernobyl this is a fascinating list so thank you
When this happened they told us it would be 300 years before the land is habitable by humans.
A lot I knew some I didn't. I guess that's what happens when you love history and documentaries.
The Red forest will come up again soon due to russian soldiers going there and digging trenches and foxholes as well as looting labs in the chernobyl plant. 7 buses of soldiers have arrived in belarus with radiation sickness..
I love that the animals are basically in a poacher free zone. And it's guaranteed because of radiation. Love that those animals can roam carefree and wild
The late actor Paul Ritter in the Chernobyl series, a great actor. He did this ultra serious docu-drama and then did the hilarious Friday Night Dinner. Sadly missed.
Had a mate who visited Pripyat around 2000 on an organised tour. He said it was so humbling as the tour guide described the night it all happened and how the whole town just stopped in time. My mate said you walked through abandoned homes and there were just every day items left exactly where they'd been dropped at that exact moment in time. Even years later what he'd seen still gave him a few cold shivers.
Ok ok another video about Chernobyl outta no where…. This is pretty much redoing their top 10 after the Chernobyl hbo series
rather Top 10 things you already knew about Chernobyl unless you were born yesterday.
"Top 10 Things You Didn't Know About The Chernobyl Disaster"
If you never heard of The Chernobyl Disaster before.
There's 26 days left until the 36th anniversary of this horrible event
Slipknot ?
You know funny story about this. There was a woman who didn't purchase milk from countries that were affected by Chernobyl. So she bought milk from places that weren't, he suspicions were true however. When milk from those countries turned out to be irradiated.
So positive and motivational song used with such list.. definitely not a good audio choice here
STALKER
How can you use this music on such list?? It just doesn’t sound right..
“What is the cost of lies? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all”
Valery Legasov
That quote always gives me goosebumps
You guy’s should just watch Chernobyl on HBO, that series is so damn good
I remember having the crap scared out of me in 6th grade when my whole class watched.
