🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. As an Egyptian, I apologize to you, brother, for the troubles you went through during your visit to my country, Egypt. The Egyptian people do not accept these behaviors at all, but anyone who objects will be arrested. Unfortunately, Egypt has become a big prison.

  2. Unfortunately, we cant deny that happen in our country…
And I'm one of Egyptians feeling so sad about that
Anyway sorry for bad treatment you got it there
But if you go in deeply life in my country
You gonna find very kind people with very clear heart

  3. I'm Egyptian and I apologise for what you'd gone through, however you need to understand how tough was the situation facing terrorists throughout the past decade, that situation deprived Egyptian resources including tourism. That's why severe security measures are taken to ensure tourists and locals security including banning drones and public photography without permits.
Away from these security measures, visiting Egyptian ancient places, museums, and sunny beaches is an extremely nice experiment.

  4. As an Egyptian I don't know how to satisfy you but I'm really sorry for you about what happened to you it's really makes me feel shame

  5. How shameless can you guys be….Egypt revolution was done by US money and on top of this you are saying "why are they paranoid" ?. Go and do a full research and you will come to know why people like you are not welcome yet like parasite stick to infest and infect where ever you go like a virus..why don't you show your own western food…..like mad cow disease an achievement of western delicacy and democracy

  6. It's ashame the government is soo badly corrupted, Egypt was always a country I wanted to visit but from what I see and hear I will never visit and put myself at risk for the like of a visit

  7. Egypt is the worst country not only in Africa but on the entire world personal opinion as per my visit on 2019
    *bad people
    *bad smell
    *bad roads
    *alot of scammers
    *not safe
    *nothing to do
    *bad food

  8. HUGE DISLIKE. BAD APPROACH. CHEAP WAY FOR VIEWS AND LIKES!!

You know this’s all sad and frustrating no doubt and we all looking forward to the day when it this all will be changed.
But this kind of approach isn’t smart!
As a pro You Tuber u know very well that you’ve to look into the rules and tabus and to get such a filming permit you were informed not to bring drones as an example. Even if you were NOT informed! Your guide in egypt informed you about this
And also even if NOT! you crew made their researches FOR SURE told you about that and as you demonstrated in the video u know how bad the dark side of egypt is.

So after all of this you still took the risk and went against all the challenges and took that specific gears that aren’t allowed and which will cause you headache during your journey in Egy.

Now I don’t defend the police or the authorities we all hate them as much as you feel at this specific point. But man this approach you used and the video title to get highest reach and highest possible views is of the hook and sooo dramatic!!

The caption you wrote is the total opposite of what you’ve seen from the locals and the experience you lived. You’re there to share food and vibes not to educate the authorities or the police.

With such videos and editing and the way you demonstrate things is not about food anymore, you’re basically went of the topic.

You’re literally negatively affecting people’s lives depending on tourism. You see how generous egyptian are you still can see this from the comments but still decided to show the bad side! You saw how poor the people are and how power egypt is, why putting more pressure on those that cannot and have nothing to do with it, instead of sharing awareness in a friendly nice way and support those who really in need for help (tourism) the locals.

Huge dislike! I hope you change your approach and content to a friendly based content instead of this teaching, showing negative side content.

  9. From Egypt we are sorry for what happened with you this is totally not Egypt and we are here are always welcoming everyone to our land I'm so sorry one more time ..

  10. I just checked this video because the news of you being stopped at the airport is booming all over Egyptian social media.

Gotta say, I love the quality and shots of your videos, definitely subscribing and checking out the rest of your content..

As an Egyptian, it saddens me that you and so many vloggers have to go through this but honestly I'm not upset at all and encourage everyone that faces the same to show it the world, hopefully this would pressure the authorities to chill out and realize all their efforts are focused in the wrong direction.

I hope that you and your team can realize the difference between the majority of Egyptians and the extremely uncalled for security measures, it seems like you still had a good time in the midst of Cairo's chaos.

Once again, me and millions of Egyptians are sorry that you had to face this but if you ever decide to visit again, hopefully our security mindset would be different (probably thanks to you and all other YouTubers) and we'd welcome you with open arms (and your cameras too).

  11. Really, the police in Egypt are afraid of anyone who holds cameras, but this is because of the days of the revolution and people used to enter Egypt to convey things wrongly and Egypt until now their things are not stable, the police from their point of view are trying to maintain the stability of the country. If you get a bad background from Egypt because this situation happened to you, it doesn't mean that Egypt is bad. Egypt is beautiful and for a long time, all people have been going to it from all the world, not once, no, once too. If it were bad, the one who goes to it would not love it once. I think you need to go again to rule right.

  12. I had to visit Egypt every two years since 2005, after the 2013 coup our latest treatment by the police was terrible, but I cannot forget all the great food I had in Egypt, and how nice people are.

  13. Mate !! I’m an Egyptian and I admit it I don’t feel save in egypt when I go every where I must prepare my self for any Scenario in the street ,, most of people here are not comfortable they always want to violating privacy,,, we try to fix that and Till now and I can say we will not be civilized country till we fix this.

  14. I apologize for your unsuccessful tour in Egypt. To some extent, Egypt has banned the use of cameras since the 2011 revolution, and I thought that now the situation had stabilized! but unfortunately those who forbade the use of cameras are still working with the same beliefs and orders. There is no law prohibiting photography. Egypt has many better places than the one you went to. As an Egyptian, these places are considered primitive for me. There are places like Dahab, Hurghada, Alexandria, Siwa, and El Alamein, that you will enjoy visiting
It would be better if you asked someone where to go in Egypt
