CLIP DESCRIPTION:
The luxury cruise ship Poseidon capsizes when struck by a giant tidal wave.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Set adrift in the vast waters of the North Atlantic for a luxury New Year’s Eve party staged in the ship’s magnificent ballroom, the massive ocean-liner Poseidon receives an unexpected jolt when a rogue, 100-foot wave rolls it completely upside down, forcing the surviving passengers to fight their way to safety in Das Boot director Wolfgang Petersen’s waterlogged blockbuster. Trapped beneath the waterline and implored by the captain to remain in place until a rescue team arrives, the panicked survivors struggle to keep their cool as the water begins to rush in, infernos blaze all around, and a loss of electricity plunges the doomed vessel into total darkness. Seasoned gambler Dylan Johns (Josh Lucas) isn’t willing to wage his life on the prompt arrival of help, though, and as he attempts to navigate the treacherous, inverted maze of death, he is flanked by desperate band of like-minded seafarers including eight-year-old Conor (Jimmy Bennett) and his mother, Maggie (Jacinda Barrett), reticent stowaway Elena (M

Can't beat the original.
Imagine Rose and Jack had a romance on this ship…
It's a big ship 😃
Well, I don’t think I’m ever going on a ship that departs from Southampton.
"This is not a drill!"
Five magic words to ensure immediate panic!
Could she have survived being hit if she took it head on?
Wow! What an intense scene. I haven't seen this one but have seen the original. Now I want to see this one. Thanks for sharing!
Super ❤️
Could be worse, the ship could of fully sank all the way to the bottom of the ocean where it would land on a pointy rock, perfectly balancing on it
This like titanic
Well, that doesn't look very fun
Its times like this I'd go the the toilet with the one I love, or some chick I don't know.
how to survive a tsunami: be a camera man
Man i love the sound design of the wave it sounds like screaming or a war cry or something
This video was made exactly 5 years ago
I’d hate to imagine what caused those explosions that came out of the windows
Southampton doesn't seam to have a very good track record when it comes to ships!??!
Please close Down ships that depart from england or southampton. Thank you.
estonia…
This looks like a very crappy ship…. A huge wave then it goes down already??? Is this a joke? What is up with all those furniture that easily slid around and tipped over? If this ship were real, I would fire all engineers, the builders, interior designers, everyone who took part in building up the ship.
Repent to Jesus Christ
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

You can say what you will about the entire film, but this scene alone is a true spectacle. I love the film altogether, and I don't try to compare it to the original mainly because they are two very different films made at two very different times with very different budgets. Also, Klaus Badelt's score for this film is so underappreciated. The part that plays at 2:35 is just amazing.
Wow
2:00 considering how strong water is (and that we, as humans, become literal frickin rag dolls when hit with waves, like a tsunami for instance)…watching this scene made me wince cause there would be so many broken faces in that pool when smashing into the concrete
That'd be a rogue wave, not a tidal wave.
A BREACH IN THE HULE cause the leviathan to begin taking on water plus
The Top heavy Chivita cap sized . LAID AGROUND SHIP WRECTED . THE CAST AWAY AWOKEN DEHYDRATED BUTT NAKED JUST WISHING FOR a V8 splash.
FOR A LIMITED TIME YOU CAN RELIVE THE TITLE WAVE ADVENTURE PARK
at Majic Montain. But Bring your swim suite tonge with coveral approve.
1:59 the pool joins the tsunami too
Why I go by plane:
Waves don't maintain the poiny crest that long? It was cresting long before it got to the ship. Wouldn't they have to be in shallow water too? but the main phony thing is that the majority of passengers are young, fit and well dressed
Why would you turn into it?
shouldn’t they have pointed the ship directly at the wave instead of going sideways i doubt it would have made much of a difference but being to the side like that seems way worse
Those are not mountains…
pimples: zero!
black heads: zero!
Chances of me going on a Cruise ship?:
zErO
2:25 There's a leek in the boat!
Impossible situation
Aw cmon man why tf did the ship boom boom? They could of survived if not movie magic
The “original” scene is sooo much better.despite all the lack of so called “special effects.”
