Thank you! I am waiting to be hit by Hurricane Dorian and while they discussed different things to do I didn't know the terminology. Thank you!
Thank you, Teacher Erika, for this information.
Excellent! Love the Braids #naturalhair
I cancelled my classes using the special set up they had for those of us who were potentially in the path of the hurricane. Didn't that take care of it?
I was penalized anyway for 3 classes.
Thank you for the information.
In the event that power outages have caused phone(data) or internet lines to go down, what is the alternative to an app or portal? A toll free call to VIPKID HQ?
Thank you so much! Thank you for mentioning pets. 🙂
safety first, cancel classes, soft tag with explanation, not penalized, include area, natural disaster
Good information I hope you and your family are safe.
I am sure VIPKid is still monitoring, but I just wanted to add that areas of SC are experiencing flooding from Hurricane Florence. They are telling us to stock up on water and power up our devices. Hopefully we will not lose power with the flooding, but it is possible.
My thoughts are with all of you who are dealing with this at this time!
Thank you, It is very helpful since it is hurricane season here in Florida.
Thanks that was very helpful.
I hope you and your family stayed warm and dry and that all it well.

Awesome video. Kudos to VIPKid. In my other life I work as an Emergency Management Consultant. You info and message is "spot on". Plus you look very professional and the video quality is good. Keep up the good work and good luck, God bless to you and your family and all those affected by this devastating disaster

question: regarding tornadoes – if we have a severe threat of a tornado in the area, this will not be a highly publicized or a national event. When there is a tornado watch and a tornado could touch down, I would probably need to cancel upcoming classes. Will VIPKID allow a soft cancellation?
We were fortunate during Hurricane Florence. We have no damage, but areas Conway, SC, are now flooding. They are expecting flooding and water will probably be higher than during Hurricane Matthew. Our home is in an area of Conway that will probably not be impacted. Prayers with are the families of those who have had to evacuate their homes and with the families in North Carolina who have lost family members during the storm. Thanks to VIPKID for putting safety and family first.
Do we go to freshdesk to apply for a soft cancellation?
Thanks! Well-done!
Thank you for the video. I hope you are well emotionally and physically. I also have to tell you that my son has the camo bear behind you in the video. It is his favorite!
Great video!
Thanks for this video! I am near Savannah, GA, and we don't yet know what we'll get. I don't want to have to cancel because my bookings are just starting to pick up after waiting a LONG time to finally get booked. I don't want to lose my momentum, but of course I want to do what is best for everybody. I am afraid if I cancel and then we don't get the bad weather, my soft cancellations won't be approved. I have considered evacuating and finding a hotel inland, but am afraid the wifi won't be good enough. Which one would be better? Cancel now, or try to travel and teach and risk a teacher IT? Thanks for your help!
Stay safe! Thank you!
