11. My daughter adopted a dog in very similar shape.
    It had been chained on a 5 foot lead to a post and completely neglected for 7 months.
    It was barely alive.
    And its spirit was so broken it didn't know how to be a dog.
    2 years of constant attention and he's finally good.

16. I rescued a young pittie/mix dying in the desert. She was the same way and the best thing I did after getting her physically well was to introduce her to walks and other dogs. She LOVED it and really came out of her shell.

23. Going to a new home is going to be so traumatic for Griff. It breaks my heart knowing he going to go through this and may never recover from it.

34. I was just so disappointed at the end when I realized that he was not in his ‘forever home’ already. While the lady did wonderfully in gradually getting him out from his shell, I wonder how long it will take him to actually trust a new human being. It must have cost him an awful lot to approach the woman. Hope you are doing well, Griff, and that you and your new owners keep celebrating those little victories ❤️
