17. I have a dog named Cookie that I got from the humane society. She had been nursing 2 puppies when she entered the shelter, but they had been adopted out when old enough and she was fixed. I worked at the humane society and a few weeks after I brought Cookie home, a girl brought in 2 tiny kittens that didn't even have their eyes open yet. I took them home to bottle feed and attempt to raise them. Cookie was immediately in Mom mode, she took complete care of those babies! And within a week of them being at my house, she began to lactate and fed them on her own milk for the rest of their kittenhood! One of the kittens was adopted and one stayed with us- now he's a huge 4 year old boy named Mister who still has a really special bond with Cookie and they cuddle all of the time!

18. You should have waited longer. That's mean to steal animals from their mom. Mom probably ran off when it heard you coming and was waiting for you to leave. Now it's going to get pregnant again quicker.

35. I hope you continued to look for the Mom… she was probably watching you, afraid, from afar. From the looks of them, she was caring well for them. It was kind that you "rescued" the kittens, but it would be great if you could try to rescue the mother as well!
