Hey biffa, it would be great if you could name a new area being made in the future called Gorsley or Little Gorsley and make it a open stone brick house area. That would make me happier after the sad times that we have been going through

I’m struggling with traffic in my city it’s falling apart and I can’t use mods idk what to do
wouldnt adding an intercity bus station relieve some of the car traffic? since it means people can move in via bus. awesome looking build!

This looks ace! has a proper northern feel to it! Depending on the location of the mill (many will have been knocked down in the city centres), terraced houses will be surrounding it which will have served the workers. A wharf off the river is also a cool idea.
Biffa maybe you could build a brewery!
You put buildings against windows. The occupants will not enjoy staring straight out at a brick wall. If you are imagining that the factories and station are of the same era, there would be some paths across the water for walking from station to factories.

Love that brick look and texture in the game. City is looking good, but disconnected. Time to start filling in those large gaps between areas 🙂
People are still accessing the path from the mills, they were even doing so when you were attempting that connecting path!

I think this should be called "Kettling Square", and a pedestrian foot bridge over the canal from the new square to the train station would be a nice touch 🙂

14:47 that was exactly my reaction as well when i saw the angled houses 😀
absolutely fabulously beautiful build. for the pathway.. make a path section raised/bridge go across the road. and hook it up on the other side of the road. also. make a path bridge to the other side of the river and hook it up the same way. (add nodes if necessary)
side note. the trees (not all of them just the ones with the insanly long stems) are nice but too tall. use BOB to adjust stem lenght or use a different tree.
P.s. Gasometer Vienna is same style (formerly used as gas storage in RL) using rico you can change that to whatever you fancy. (in vienna RL they made the Gasometer to Commercial and residential.)

Actually, I think the pedestrians can walk across that barrier from sidewalk to path if they're the same height – at 32:53 if you look next to the red car parked on the road you can see them doing it 🙂 Something else you could do is maybe create some pedestrians bridges across the river from the mill to the town area? Gives access to shops and the train station. And I can just see river barges going up and down that canal..
It looks amazing! I really like it when you use the english vehicles and buildings, you can just imagine those office with red brick walls and polished wooden floors. Great build
Using RICO and Realistic pop mods together is risky as it can really screw your traffic. My advise is for any buildings larger than these "mill builds" adjust the housing numbers down.
East and West Kettling cardinal directions are mixed up! West is East and East is west. Look at St Giles for reference. Love these builds Biffa!
I love this series! I'm looking for the LUT/mod/asset that makes your concrete look like the fancy tiles your got going on. Anyone know where I can find that?
What an awesome build this was. I have a tip for the great Biffa, whenever I build a large residential block I add a temporary transit line to that block (usually bus as its easier) from any intercity terminal/station to the location. I believe it helps a lot with the incoming citizens.
If you add a lock or some small canals with boats, this could be where they used to unload barges and canal boats, you could call this area Mill Quay as in Mil-ky.
Try using invisible path
Biffa and fans how do you keep trees and rocks from staying in the middle of the road, it is becoming tedious to move or delete them one at a time and when you are building in a forest its bad
is there a easy way to do this someone help please
It’s always nice to learn a new technique. I’ve used RICO to convert unique buildings into functional ones. E.g. the shopping mall into a high density commercial but hadn’t thought of swapping industrial to homes. Thanks for the tip.

Would a small break in the canal path allow the people to enter/exit in the middle?
Just a friendly reminder Biffa, that maybe instead of lifting everything in your new built, you could try just lowering the river. Maybe it helps with that water issue.
Biffa there are invisible path asset as you mentioned, they are really good for using on beaches too, little annoying to find again when you place them to align things to it for parks though.
