Chris Parker (Elisabeth Shue) agrees to baby-sit after her “dream” date stands her up. Expecting a dull evening, Chris settles down with three kids for a night of TV … and boredom. But when her frantic friend Brenda calls and pleads to be rescued from the bus station in downtown Chicago, the evening soon explodes into an endless whirl of hair-raising adventures! Babysitter and kids leave their safe suburban surroundings and head for the heart of the big city, never imagining how terrifyingly funny their expedition will become!

I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE
"Thor's a h*mo" 🤣
So wrong, yet with today's standards of "masculinity" and the MCU, Brad's dang near right. 😆
20:31 why doesn't she just buy a tire with her Apple Play?
I want that station wagon
"Every time I come here, every time, you two. Don't you work?"
born in 93 but this is a favorite in my family, due to my dad and uncles being 80s kids, awesome to see movies like this on Youtube! you just same that premium subscription yet again haha.
Elisabeth Shue was a gorgeous Goddess back then, and she still is gorgeous today! 😍
🎶 Some guys are out to get them, the girl is probably dead, she ain’t got a nickel..and we should be in bed!🎶
"Handsome" John Pruitt is hands down the greatest character in this movie. I would even go so far as to say he's one of the greatest movie characters from the 1980s.
Seriously, a tow truck driver with only one hand and a heart of gold who becomes psychotic when he learns that his wife is having an affair. I WANNA WATCH THAT MOVIE!
Everytime I watch a 80's comedy movie I get put in the best mood. I think about the 80's everyday of my life and it helps me cope with the horrendous world we live in today.
I consider Chris's dance in the beginning to be one of the best "Character introduction" scenes in any movie. It's right up there with Willy Wonka in 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,' Rufio in 'Hook,' and Captain Jack Sparrow in the first 'Pirates of the Caribbean'!
Without a word of spoken dialogue, it gives us a look at Chris's personality, and makes us start to like her and root for her!
What the song that starts to play before Chris gets to Dawsons car shop?
Elizabeth shue is absolutely breathtaking 💯🥂
This movie was one of my faves as a 4th grader.
Thank god she stole her glasses back. 1:14:55 also i'm retired as well.
This was my first introduction to Thor
She's probably embarrassed about the opening of this film. Otherwise great film
Love this movie
Sarah was obviously into Thor way before Marvel started making movies
Stupid ending. She was only 2 years older
If anybody’s chasing you and you get on an elevator, purposely mark the floor you DIDN’T get off at to throw them off the track.
In The Karate Kid, she was hardly in any of it. She sure earned her pay in this movie – she was in practically every frame of the film.
I liked the blues musicians, Chris, Sarah, Joe Gipp, Mr. Pruitt, Daryll, the college guy & Mr. Anderson. Didn't like Joe Gipp's 2 bosses, the gangsters on the train, Brenda, Chris's boyfriend Mike, Mrs Anderson & Dawson
The way he snatched her while still wearing her coat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 oh mighty God of thunder! Who is this kid?.
Love this classic movie 🙏❤️
Love this movie
my favorite always my favorite movie and always will be my favorite movie always when he walked up to me and he asked me if I wanted to dance.
"Don't fuck with the Lord's of Hell!"
[Chris picks up the knife and shoves it in the gang leader's face]
"Don't F U C K with the babysitter!"
Maybe if this was 2020s Joe Gipp would've ended up with Chris
I don’t have any cash, then I don’t have a Weiner
A hidden treat on the "Adventures In Babysitting" DVD/Blu Ray nobody talks about: The French audio track which includes Babysitting Blues sung entirely in French. I uploaded it to YouTube to help draw attention to that hidden gem. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/6jDiHJZhr58
I watched this faithfully as a child

I was 12 when it came out
And I watched and over and over again!!

For some reason I saw this when it first came out, even back then I thought it was a clever funny goofy little movie, innocent too, now after all these years I still found it funny, goofy and innocent, a good watch with a fun cast, worth the time still !!!
Nobody wake up that happy now modern days, time was chill before the internet..
the hair and the shoulder pads !! LOL
