The leopard is largely a nocturnal hunter. For its size, it is the most powerful large felid after the jaguar, able to drag a carcass larger than itself up a tree. Leopards are top of many people’s safaris tick-list, but, while they usually avoid humans, there are some instances in which they will attack.
