2. I was working at home and looking out the windows I saw the wind and rain, it was terrifying so I prayed that we didn’t have power outage…thank God we didn’t even though I was prepared with flashlights/ candles and none perishables.

4. I was in midland when this happened and it was rainy there when I came back to Toronto it was bad

5. There was no roration in this storm. It was a derecho (ponounced der-ay-show) which normally only produce straight line winds, microbursts/downbursts which can be equally as destructive as a tornado. The difference between the two is the a tornado produces localized damage along a disticnt path which can be observed from an aerial view while a derecho produces widespread damage but no clear path, the damage is more scattered. To say the word "Tornado" in your description when there was no witnesses of a visible tornado, not even yourselves is misinformation. The only other way to confirm a tornado touch down is to observe the damage from the air which, of course didn't happen when you posted this video. Aerial observations do not happen the same day as the storm. So so far, there was no tornadoes associated with this storm.

6. I live an hour north of where it hit in Uxbridge, my town looks like a warzone. Thankfully my home is ok, but a lot of people had MAJOR damage done.

10. Lost power for 36 hours. I’m very lucky tho to have my house and not lose it. So many of my friends and neighbours had trees fall on their homes they’ve worked lifetimes to afford. So so sad. It’s been a community wide effort but we’ve been out helping those who’ve had significant damage occur to their property. As one of the lucky ones who didn’t have any damaged property I owe it to my neighbours to give them a helping hand. Hands down one of the worst storms I’ve ever lived through in ny time worst then any winter storm for sure. Hope we don’t have to experience something like this ever again.

15. Luckily I was done with my hiking and was in the bus when this started. It was fun looking at it and not getting wet. So much hail was falling on the bus and making a big noise. Luckily the bus didn't fly away.

My friend from London phoned at 11:30 a.m. and said a bad storms is coming your way, he stated, “ I couldn’t see across the street during the storm.” So I looked at the radar weather for Brantford, 100 km from London just parallel to the 403 highway, it said it wouldn’t hit till 1:30 p.m. So I decided to mix a wheel barrel full of cement and get some of my flagstone walkway done before the storm came. It was 11:45 a.m. so I worked quickly. I thought I had an hour and a half. I could see it getting very dark by 12:20 p.m. and it was getting windy. Fortunately I had most of the cement used up for a giant flag stones set in place. I started to clean up and then the wind and rain hit. I was under the porch at my front door which has open sides. I just set my cement tools on the stone side ledge because they were getting soaked and I had to wipe them clean with water anyways. At first the rain was warm as it was about 85° F. But within two minutes the temperature dropped 15°F. I didn’t think it was that bad but the wind was certainly vertical and you could see the swaths of rain, similar to shaking a big blanket as I looked out across the street. Hurricane winds. We didn’t get it that bad I though. . I had a big drive through the town afterwards because I was looking for more Flagstone. Home Depot, Lowe’s and the stoneyard. The storm had taken out the credit card computer system at the stores so they were big lineups. People were annoyed as they had to process the transactions manually. As I drove around town I saw quite a few large trees were actually ripped out of the ground other spots, branches were snapped off and on some of the roads. It was more severe than I realized from my house. Downtown London, Victoria Park, the name sake of our party for this weekend had significant damage as did many of the neighborhoods. London is called the forest city and many of the trees are 80 and 100 years old so it was a real mess. Toronto recorded winds of 120 and some places 131 km, highest recorded for most of Ontario. It will be interesting to see if the cost of the storm will be tabulated by the insurance industry in a few weeks. Many people have their homes and cars damaged. I suspect tornadoes will be declared as I saw from the news, some pickup trucks were laying on their side, Oxbridge. Some of the commenters stated they saw a tornado and had to seek safety. Though I love storms so much, I feel for the people who have huge messes to clean up and whose homes have been damaged. It’s very distressing and a lot of work to remedy the aftermath. The neighbours will come together and lend a hand for the people in Oxbridge and other local neighborhoods. We have seen goodwill from Ontarian’s in tough times.

26. I received the Alarm on my cell at exactly 12:45 pm and was in a farm in Uxbridge. Told my wife let's get into car immediately and go home. She said don't worry nothing is going to happen but I insisted to leave immediately. While driving, initially there were heavy rain and then my God I saw a tornado touched down at least 1km frm my car. I thought I was going to die. My hands and feet were shaking and could not think right. My. Wife pointed to a tunnel nearby. I drove like crazy and fortunately got there on time and stayed there for 20 min until everything was OK.
