I found a young bird when walking home about 2 months ago, it was in the middle of the pavement and when I went near it it just went round in circles, it looked like it had a damaged wing, so I picked it up, brought it home, put it in a shoe box with some kitchen towel in the bath
I then crushed up a bit of a crispbread and gave it some drops of water with a pippete and put some water in a small lid, and put the top on the shoe box loosely & left it for a bit.
When I went back about 20 minutes later it hopped onto the side of the shoe box the flew on to my bathroom window still then flew straight out of my open window, I wad gobsmacked, I was fully expecting it to die on me.

This makes me want to carry rope and a blanket with me everywhere I go….which would be a funny thing to explain.

Please make sure any jars you are throwing away are secure and no wildlife will get into it, that is always terribly sad to see.

My cat asks for help all the time. He wants outside… He wakes me to tell me so. He wants food. He stares at me until fed. He wants a freeze cube to sit on… He comes to me for that too
