  1. Why oh why do I watch these things just before bed… …oh well, no sleep for me *goes to make chocolate dip*

  2. Regarding some sort of "proof of afterlife" pact:
In the last year of my sister's life, despite not believing in an afterlife, she told her siblings and children, and anyone who'd listen, that after her death, if there was an afterlife, and if she could find a way, she would blow on the back of their necks. If we felt blowing on the back of our necks, that would be her. Cute, I thought. She'd found a way to turn common breezes, wind or drafts into a reassuring message from beyond the grave. That was sweet, and I hoped her young children might find comfort from it.

Anyway, fast forward and on the day of her tragic passing, I found myself sitting in a chair by her bedside, holding her hand in mine, trying to keep it warm (and less scary and cold feeling) for her children that were about to arrive to say goodbye to their mum.

And, as I sat there, looking at my sister, holding her hand, I was suddenly aware of a blowing on the back of my neck. Wide-eyed and terrified, I slowly turned around, only to discover that, because it was a hot day, the hospice nurses had put the one solitary room fan on, to try to keep the body cool. Aimed right towards where I had randomly placed my chair.

For the next hour or so, I watched a steady stream of weeping and grieving relatives come in and sit in the chair beside my sister's bed, before each in turn inevitably went wide-eyed and pale, all slowly turning to look at the fan that was blowing on the back of their necks.

Despite the sadness of losing the sister I loved so much, I kinda feel like that was a pretty perfect moment, and she would've loved to have seen it. Weird how some things just work out.

  3. Oh! And I’m excited for the Boise stuff! You could film yourself going to creepy places in the middle of the night, and eating a snack. A “Midnight Snack Challenge” if you will. Where you have to sit there and finish the snack before you can leave. Then others will start doing it and filming it, and it’ll be the next trendy viral sensation… it could happen.

  4. Watching with headphones on, and those knocking sounds in the background freaked the crap outta me. I had to take my earbuds out cause I thought someone was knocking on the wall behind me.
    👍👌👏👻
