It’s a bustling day in Pompeii. After a quick visit to the market, Fabia spots her brothers, Lucius and Marcus, crossing the Forum. The siblings begin discussing Lucius’ wedding — but a deafening boom interrupts them. They watch Vesuvius spew smoke, ash, and rock — and realize they’ve been living in the shadow of a volcano. Gary Devore follows the siblings as they attempt to survive the disaster.

Pompeii and Herculaneum destroyed
Fantastic thank you
I feel sad that poor dude waited at home for his fiancé but never saw her again 😪 I wonder what happened to her? So tragic. Pompeii has always saddened and fascinated me.
No one cares
I hate history
Shut up
is this based on real story?
I went to the Pompeii exhibit at our local museum a few years ago, and seeing these people frozen in time, some holding each other, or one that really got to me was someone hugging their dog… it's easy to distance yourself emotionally from something that happened 2000 years ago, but seeing the people, animals, and artifacts in person is absolutely heart wrenching.
My teacher told the class today
I read a book that said some people that lived in Pompeii did not make it D: but in this vid I think there was a child that oofed with a dog it's true I have NEVER EVER gone to this place but the volcano that towered in the city erupted but still is it gonna erupt again but I love ur vids ted ed
I'm sorry but you forget the most important part that it was a punishment because all bombiey's people were practicing adultery and even with animals… try to search for the real story
Teacher: *makes me watch this video in history class
me: *report => child abuse
another made up story,,,let me entertain you lol
Whats on your mind?
Theres a story why Pompeii is destroyed in Muslim

C. PLINIVS TACITO SVO S.
He waited for his lady..
You should do one for aristocrats during the Russian revolution
I remember going to the sight of Pompeii, it made me sad that such a glorious city had to be destroyed in such a brutal way.
something i dont understand. why would u build a city next to a valcano
So the best way to go would have been by foot? I still don’t understand why the boats were not an option…
But If You Close Your Eyes…..
Don't be afraid Lucius, Come out from the closet! We're all here to help you.
And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love
I’ll remember this next time I’m in 79 CE, thanks!
Nice video, interesting to know this theme
mmmm Mi sembra un po cringe😅
Prayer request here!
I believe that Lucius reunited with his love in the afterlife and that they are happy.
Don’t hide bruh
i heard that they use to do bad things?
The fact I first heard abt this disaster in one of Rick riordian books – a children book author
the way that the two ads I got before this video were 1) Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd talking about lays chips 2) Ryan Reynolds talking about his wireless company in a similarly “comedic celebrity” way lmao.
