Never change lanes to the curb lane when someone is trying to enter the street. If anything, get OUT of the curb lane in these situations to allow the person to get onto the road. It amazes me how so many people just turn into the most inconsiderate aholes on the planet the moment they are behind the wheel. Most don't realize it, they are simply completely oblivious and uncaring about anyone else on the road.
