I was ready to dismiss this as another instance of projection, but he seems to have formed a real bond with her. That is amazing.
When I was about 5 years old, there was a squirrel that would come into our kitchen and sit on my shoulder while I sat on the floor. I would feed him peanuts, and he was my little buddy. He wouldn't do that for anyone else. I thought no one would believe me but i actually found a couple photos after my mum passed away, showing him coming in and running up my arm in the kitchen. I'm now 67 and I still cherish that little relationship.

I had a similar situation happen with me about 5 years ago.
I had a Chipmunk “befriend” me and he or she(couldn’t tell the gender) became friendly with me to where I could hand feed him/her. As soon as other Chipmunks saw that I was “harmless” they became interested in me and I started hand feeding them. As soon as “Chip”(the name I gave him/her) noticed it he/she would sit off in the distance and would chirp/squeak in jealousy. One day Chip never came back and it broke my heart. I hope nothing “bad” happened to him/her.

✌️😎 Very cool video! There is a chipmunk in my garage and a couple times he came over and walked on my boots while I'm working on my bike.. Made me think at the time.. "cool, I think he likes me" maybe it's pretty common??
