Architecture and urban design. Whether living a nomadic existence or in sprawling urban centres, indigenous people throughout the Americas created their homes and community structures to fulfill the needs and values of their society.

Many of the languages barely exist anymore. Sad.
1491 must be known as the dark times to native Americans as a metis Canadian who looks white I have seen many things and watched closely natives are com8ng into their own it's very uplifting to see they have held onto their culture the Europeans are losing theirs the new world is becoming mature t8me to end the government overeach and corruption this is our land
No writing, no two story buildings, no irrigation, no wheel, no plumbing. Human sacrifice. A real legendary civilization.
What civilization, common, these people could not have developed basic math, physics, material science, and list goes on. The fact that talented carpenter can be creative doesn't make that carpenter an engineer…
if you call living in a teepee with a dirt floor "legendary" what do you call the ancient Egyptian, the Greek and Roman civilizations ?
What a joke this is.
Ancient Egyptians and their artifacts have now been found in the South West and Western America!
also to repeat the same errors of unknowing archeologist that the 3 pyramids at Giza are tombs! not so.
Chaco could have been built with slave labor. No one knows proof positive.
Szerintem Vinetou is ufó volt.Tuti. Meg Rumcájz is.
@6:00, there are images of a MISSION church probably Salinas from the look of it, mixed into the precontact structure photos. Get an editor.
A agricultural city in the center of a continental trade network may be unique tho there is no material evidence of a civilization or direct trade with meso american civilizations.
Impressive video of Pan American civilisation prior to 1492 & even before that ! This must be taught beginning in the middle & high school & not just limited to higher / university education. This way children will become more "educated" about people, society & civilisation in general when they become adult regardless of their educational attainment when they pursue higher education. Human civilisation developed simultaneously in different parts of the world according to the prevailing environment obtaining at that time. One civilisation can not claim superiority over another as this is part & parcel of societal & cultural evolution of human society as a whole . The same is true at the lower level of animal kingdom. The only difference is that they do not seek out other specie to be dominated or subjugated unlike "modern " or "enlightened" human society !
I condemn what the spanish did , but on the other hand, cannibalism is worse and it needed to stop. And it’s important to understand who is who, for example, Inuits, athabascans, Mongoloids, valdevians in Argentina etc…. verses the native who migrated here before them, like Aztecs …
a history of the success video, but sure there was many lost in history too
It is horrible what the Europeans did to the world… Barbaric society of whites
Stop EXAGGERATING! We’re the really “legendary” or even impressive civilization! Let’s talk about mesoamerican civilizations that progressed beyond Hunter , gather nomadic warring tribes like those of Mexico and Central American like the mexica Aztec Mayan, Toltecs, Olmec dynasties can be called amazing “legendary “ empires and civilizations with unique, distinctive innovations and discoveries! LETS BE REAL HERE! the North American tribes didn’t even have their modern tribal locations and boundaries until the Europeans exposed them to horses!
This is a propaganda piece!
It appears that the Anasazi were cannibals, using archaeological evidence. Not the peaceful people of legend.
The so called natives did not even know the wheel when the Europeans came BACK. The so called natives are Asian invaders but the truth is hidden.
Loved a bit of human sacrifice. Infanticide was also a seen as a way of appeasing the gods!
so in 1345, ~1700 years after the iron age, they were in the stone age.
We have been here for over 26k years… First People of North America… https://youtu.be/BnIDtIpK2Q8
Haven't watched the show yet but "American" always rubs a nerve !!!!! Canadian Indigenous are survivors. And Central and south Americans, too. Most people see America as USA only. Broaden your scope, be specific and relabel to include all. How about USA americans? You are a documented history channel are you not? BE SPECIFIC. not centrific.
NO, when Indians got there they had to kill red haired people, their mummies have been located the east. Cherokee killed the blue people, but their is one family left in Kentucky. There were the moon eyed people here also when the Indians got here. There were Caucasians like the Kennewick man and Florida bog people and the Mandan. there were also a golden skin race in the SW. there were the black diminutive natives in the SE that were slaughtered by invading Indians. So God Almighty gave America back to the original Caucasians who had Jesus.
ET built the pyramids..around the globe..you know
Civilizations shouldnt be revered if they got conquered.
Nope, the theory of "empty" Americas before native Americans came from Siberia is outdated.
Egypt is in America, beautiful Pyramids are in our Grand Canyon. Essa’s Temple and many ancient artifacts, hidden by the Damns. They hide our Real History. and murdered many people who witnessed what they were covering up. Many resets and mud floods. AI Arcons Parasites. Church/Government = mind control.
The Founding Fathers disagree. The Declaration of Independence refers to them as savages. End of discussion.
I love Native American lore and culture and history… but in following it all I've come to believe that they are not the first peoples by any means.
