Has to be thee most beautiful sounds in the world.
We have loons that show up at our cabin up north in the early mornings. I love listening to their calls; it’s so mesmerizing
Y2K on da beat
When I was a child, this sound always scared me, but now the sound of this animal calms my soul
32 years old when I learned this wasn’t a coyote. I’m dead
I’m at northern MN
Thought you’d enjoy my 5:30 sm loons
Just went on a camping trip in the Adirondack mountains and we were sleeping next to a lake and in tent, everyone was asleep and it was like 3 in the morning and all of a sudden I just here WHOOOOAAAAAAAAOOOO!!!! Keep in mind I’ve never Heard a loon call or whatever, so basically I shit my pants the end👍
Wish we had those here in Georgia
We hear them at our camp in southern Maine. The first time I heard the loon's call was at the Boston YWCA camp in Denmark, ME. The camp ran several canoe trips every summer and I was on the Sebago Lake trip.
Greg Budney – You said it perfectly!
eerie but beautiful
These birds are scary, if you don’t know, their beaks are literally knives.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Now i know what sound they use for scooby doo and the spooky swamp
Whenever I go to black duck Minnesota (where I am at the time of writing this), I always go outside on my dock and listen to the loons call. It's creepy but amazing.
I…..C……..O
the sound of summer
Very common where I live, hear them every night. I love leaving my window open to hear the water, and the loons.
Finally found the bird sound on Doja Cat's tracks on Planet Her.
Yep. When me and my family go up to our cabin in northern Minnesota I love hearing loons at night and early morning. So majestic.
Makes me miss Maine. Such a haunting sound. Hearing them talk to each other in the deep of night is always comforting to me.

Spinosaurio
Sounds like a prehistoric jungle, You know those sound effects at the museum? Sounds just like It.
I’m at my summer home in New Hampshire and have become absolutely fascinated with these creatures. The sound is so spooky and I love it.

Growing up fishing in northern Ontario hearing these birds on Red Lake and Reindeer Lake I’ll never forget those sounds absolutely beautiful

I’m listening to this right now as I’m blessed to live on the water in Maine…it’s 6am. It’s a sound that touches your soul.
Love the sound of Loons!
thats the best call i heard in my life
I was fishing at a lake in far northern Wisconsin. I was fishing, and there were a couple Loons not far from where I was fishing. Not surprisingly, they were a ways ouf from where I was. I miss them a lot. Amazing creatures, Loons. When I first heard their call, I was just a kid. Was honestly shocked when I first heard it. I wasn't sure what it was at the time, looking back.
Nightmare form hell
Hearing one right now from the distance It's been going on for the past half hr. Sounds haunting and beautiful at the same time. One thing I love about being around the lake is hearing these beautiful creatures sing at night.
And you didn't catch the most iconic of the loon calls
That is freaky but peaceful
