dogs are far superio to cats in every possible aspect except agility and flexibility.

I rescued a cat from a guy that said he was moving to Florida, like they don't have cats there, idk, ok, I'll find him a home.
This poor cat had obviously been abused & hid under my bed for the longest time!
I had to keep him!
He started to come out of his shell when I rescued a kitten.
He seriously mothered that kitten & they were best buddies!
But watching him grow in confidence was truly amazing!
He was so afraid of EVERYTHING, even toys!
So watching him slowly start playing was so incredible!
They both died a few years ago, about a month apart, broke my heart!
Still miss them! 💔

so beautiful this story! Can really hear the love and caring in her voice! So wonderful My folks rescued 2 dogs. Out first rescue was a big shepherd lab mix. Very smart very quiet, A hunter, a protector a good boy. Very outdoorsy. Brownie would rather be outside no matter the westher..cold, hot. He would dig a shallow hole under a tree or a Bush out of the sun and patrol/ guard observe the back yard with his eyes ears and nose sticking out just a bit! I miss brownie so much! A wondrous dog! and A beautiful 3 legged small shepherd mix female found on the side of the highway in West Virginia. She was very caring but a bit shy and protective of her momma, my mom! Very determined to walk jump run on her own. in her own 3 legs. Scared of thunder and fireworks. would crawl way under the bed. Rescuers and rescue animals are the best!

I can relate. I'm 67 and I have my first dog ever. I have had cats before, and they're great. But the BOND I have with my doggy is so deep and so important to me. I have never loved anyone or anything so much in my life.
