been following this story and glad to read a couple of responses on the co-pilot possibly trying to free up landing gear -sad what happened but hopefully no one was doing anything wrong – these things can happen to the most careful of people-rest in peace

Depending on whether or not there was water available to land in.. he could have raised the other landing gear.. or apparently landed on that one landing gear safe enough..
Maybe the pilot rigged some kind of what he thought was safe tether to go out and fix the landing gear himself

God. Could you imagine seeing a dead body fall into your backyard? Or even just finding a dead body in your back yard? Literally one of my worst nightmares is to find a dead body somewhere. ☹️
