The Heart, Part 1 – Under Pressure: Crash Course Anatomy & Physiology #25

Spread The Viralist

Your heart gets a lot of attention from poets, songwriters, and storytellers, but today Hank’s gonna tell you how it really works. The heart’s ventricles, atria, and valves create a pump that maintains both high and low pressure to circulate blood from the heart to the body through your arteries and bring it back to the heart through your veins. You’ll also learn what your blood pressure measurements mean when we talk about systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

  1. So if our heart doesn't have feelings, then y do we feel loved in that particular area.

    For example:
You see someone you like (❤️) and then you feel something nice around your heart.

    Y does this happen

  2. 5:19 that is false actually the umbilical arteries carry deoxygenated blood as well as the pulmonary arteries and the umbilical veins carry oxygenated blood like the pulmonary veins

  3. THANK YOU! I’m a visual learner and you helped me see what I was trying to learn, but unsuccessful, through my medical books. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  4. Day 16 of quarantine, it is currently 3 am. I now have to learn off of these videos and I’m half asleep trying to get all my work done and now I actually miss public school.
