  1. You are comparing two cities /states that cannot be compared at all and here are the reasons why: 1- Bali is a small island, a province within a state and Singapore is a city/state itself. 2- Indonesian people are well known for being the top 1 medical tourist in Malaysia … so do not expect any good infrastructure to get treated in Bali because there's none. Corruption and Safety… I'd say within the next few years we will see a rise of both in Bali … we will see .. 4- Internet… no. compare between SIN and Bali … and also Connectivity: Singapore has more flights and buses to world-class cities than Bali … SHopping and Facilities: Bali has no shipping centre like the ones in Jakarta, I am not sure why but Bali which is self-labelled as a luxury destination should have its suite of Luxury stores same like St Moritz, Courchevel, Kitzbuhel and other places in Europe… out of the continent … well St Bart can match Bali but they are way more equipped shoppingwise. Education: I've never heard of any major international school in Bali.

I think you should think twice before making a video because your comparison is useless: as mentioned in the beginning, you cannot compare a wealthy city-state to a local tourist destination at all. Bali has no banks, has never been a port, do not have any heavy industry… Bali and its surroundings were just on standby during the pandemic waiting for COVID to be over meanwhile, Singapore was still prospering during that time. I strongly suggest you compare Bali to some of the islands in the Caribbeans and Singapore to Switzerland or Luxembourg… or even Brunei … but not to a local tourist spt!

  2. Hi, im a final year law student from Malaysia who are preparing for the bar exam for this year, just want to ask what advice you would give me for my future career path as i planned to work in Singapore legal sector, maybe not as lawyer as it requires bar exam.. do you have any recommendations in anything as i would really like to hear and get some advice from an experienced ex lawyer 😊

  4. Another great video! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. Not sure if you have done this before, but you can consider sharing some of your concerns before "retiring", how you overcame it, and the reality after being retired for some time?

  5. Hello Jean 💐👋 ! Thanks for this most interesting ‘debate’👍. So interesting to explore the retirement / lifestyle options of the two great locations 😃👍. See you about 👀 ! Cheers, Don 🙋‍♂️ !

  6. Thanks for the informative comparisons! Might travel around Asian countries for a long “retreat” in a few years time, when I’m eligible to withdraw my CPF at 55, so as to explore and find out the best places for frequent getaways when fully retired. By the way, your garden backdrop is really pleasing to the eye. 😊

  7. Great video. you've remind me of what someone once said❤️ "Making money is an action, keeping money is a behavior, Growing money is a knowledge". I once attended a seminar and ever since then I've been waxing strong financially , I most tell you the truth 👍

  8. when a human dies. none of the treasures that we have can be brought to the afterlife. And when that human dies….people will not say that he is the one who died rich….but people will say that he is the one who died happily….

if we live still worrying about life support facilities or personal status…. then life is like being in prison with fear …. how can you be happy if you live in shackles.

many people die not because of their disease but because of their psychological weakness. many people survived serious illness because of their mental strength…. Then there is a saying that in a healthy body there is a strong soul (Men sana in corpore sano)….

So it's all up to you to choose to live a happy life or live in worries in retirement. before death picks you up,

  9. Thank you. It’s really about the vibe. Each person requires it: some prefer a world of endless transactions while others prefer new experiences. The genetics determine a lot of this. Secondly, there are no correct decisions in life; there are simply trade offs. If one is comfortable with the trade offs of Bali vs. their home country, then it makes sense to choose Bali. Thirdly, we are not potted plants, thankfully. The nomadic gene that creates a desire to follow the changing season in order to access herds for hunting and fruits and vegetables means continuing to travel after moving to Bali will keep us happy and that believing that we now have a greater proportion of the farming gene (that makes us sit still for the process of farming) is to clearly not understand the importance of the role our genes play in our “preferences” which are in fact our programming. Lastly and often never considered is this: the variables that drove one away to move from the people and from the community they were raised in are numerous and strong, as no human being would voluntarily endure the pain of leaving if it were not for serious psychological and emotional reasons that required one’s survival by moving. These reasons have not left nor have they changed at the point of origin. In fact, with our personal development due to our liberation, they seem even starker upon return visits to “home” and cause us to look to see if indeed we did buy a return ticket. Home is a love of movement, of topography, of people, of weather, of the activities that the weather permits, of food, and of VALUE. As a European raised in North America who has lived in Micronesia for decades and has seen the world, my choice for travel is IN PART a business decision. Fourteen-thousand rupiah for a dollar to a one to one exchange in Europe to visit my home in Crete? Bali and Thailand and Vietnam win every time. Value is a first principle for me: prices matter as does quality of food and of service and especially of the character of the people who I’m exchanging my hard-earned dollars with for the experience I have chosen.

It takes thinking to move away from one’s home and this is one of the rewards of meeting people in our travel: by and large, they’re smart and experienced unless they’re new to it.

  10. What many Channels are omitting (perhaps due to the prolific yt/Soc Media censorship) is that for Many, Countries are automatically ruled out due to vaccination policy > Thailand seeing some returning strength due to the easing of Policy
