  1. No more rebuilding on shorelines or barrier islands!!!! You want it, you pay for all – ALL – of it without using tax dollars, too! And hire your own rescue for the next inevitable storms!!! Get your Desantis, Rubio, and Scott to pay for it – the 3 blind mice! I will not pay for insurance in Florida! Use common sense!

  2. Especially for white people that kamala has placed on the bottom of the list… not my words, her words.

"giving resources based on equity” to “communities of color”

  3. While I will offer the people of Florida my thoughts and prayers, I think giving them handouts to rebuild will only destroy their incentives to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, and it will just fuel inflation. They have their guns, they have Governor DeSantis, President Trump, and Jesus on their side. That should be enough! 🤪

  4. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps!
De Santis advice to all Americans who experience natural disaster emergencies!
Oh the irony Ronny Boy 😊

  5. But I thought all those Republicans were tough and they could pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
Why do they need globalization to come in and help them..?
Witness all the tough white business owners cry out for a handout.

  6. Well. It falls on the state, too. Ohio. . .the city of Columbus moved its power lines underground due to several severe ice storms knocking out power for several thousand.

  7. This is the conundrum…do the taxpayers continue to subsidize someone’s choice to live in an area that is prone to natural disasters? Also, should private businesses be required to assume that risk? These are hard questions we are now having to answer. Insurance companies want to provide the service, but financially it may be too risky because to subsidize the residents in FL they will have to increase their prices for everyone else.

  8. Let's stop sending foreign aid to Ukraine and other nations and help Americans in Florida.

Let's repeal the COVID bills of which a large portion of the funds aren't even slated to be spent for many years.

Let's stop sending money to the United Nations and NATO and send it to Florida.

There are many things we can and should do to help our fellow Americans.

  9. How many more hurricanes can this state endure ….there will certainly be more to come . 47 billion just from hurricane IAN alone….you will have to be a billionaire just to live there.

  10. The irony is a lot of the people in this area voted for this. ..and still will keep voting for it. Desantis absolutely 💣. This isn’t news. All the crap he did this year. Knowing this was possible. Just wow.

  11. And to think not even a month ago Ron DeSantis brag about spending $12 million in funding (from the taxpayers of Florida) to transport migrants across the country- to use in his political puns. Yet, there are citizens of his states that are not insured or were not prepared for hurricane Ian? People cannot afford home insurance in areas that should not be inhabited? Displaced senior citizens?! Seems, to me like the money should have been spent to secured the greater need not his ego.

  12. "Yearly"
No the Fed. tax dollars are not for rebuilding stupid. The majority of these people don't believe in climate change. They vote in politicians that restrict the US from preparing for the climate change that is coming. Now they want us to pay for their stupidity.
    Well, they're actively supporting a treasonous ex-president.

  13. The inflated housing market coupled with Biden’s inflation forced people into these nasty mobile parks. Mobile home parks should not be allowed with 100 miles of the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. DR Horton and Medallion homes need to build better houses. The feds can assist by requiring hone builders to build a better house. The trailer park people need to say it’s the wind that caused the damage and not the flood water. “The roof blew off and allowed the water to come in.” Claim Wind damage and do not discuss flood damage. One you make a comment about the rising water getting into your home – you might as well had no insurance.

  14. It doesn’t matter if you have flood insurance. Private, paid flood insurance is under written by FEMA they are unresponsive and have told me if I Mitigate any mold damage before they come out they will deny my claim.
