🇮🇩BABI PANGGANG KARO / BPK (KARO-STYLE ROASTED PORK) + PIG BLOOD SAMBAL: Mix pork with a pinch of salt and lime. Roast pork on firewood. Make pig blood sambal from salt, ginger, Sichuan pepper, forest eggplant, lime leaves, torch ginger, garlic, green chili, lemongrass, and pig blood. Stir constantly for 5 minutes. Dip pork in pig blood sambal to serve.

🇮🇩CIBET (DRAGONFLY LARVAE): Mix dragonfly larvae with forest eggplant, coconut, candlenuts, turmeric, Sichuan peppers, garlic, lime leaves, chili, and torch/aromatic ginger. Pour mixture into the bamboo tube. Add coconut milk to the bamboo tube, then seal the tube with ground lemongrass. Grill bamboo tube on firewood.

🇮🇩GRASS FROM COW STOMACH: Feed cow with klorofil grass for four days. On day 5, slaughter cow and separate the first chamber (stomach) Clean up bones and innards. Let boil for another 30 minutes – 01 hour, then add coconut milk.

🇮🇩TASAK TELU (CHICKEN BLOOD DISH): Boil cassava leaves, then chop. Slaughter chicken and then drain blood into a bowl. Clean the chicken, then boil the meat. Serve shredded chicken mixture mixed directly with blood sauce mixture.

🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. I am wondering who first decided that they are going to eat the stuff that has been chewed and partially digested by a cow?? I mean I do respect cultures but this is the most offensive and unappetising thing I have seen on the internet for a while now

  2. I'm sure the viewers of Indonesian series mostly are Indonesian themselves. Because we're always amazed by our own cultures that many of them aren't yet familiar.

  3. As an Indonesian and growing up in Indonesia, this is the first time I know that such food really exists here 😱

  4. I really enjoy your videos Sonny, I was wondering if you really mean it when you say it is good. the blood sauce and all. They sound a little horrific. Just a little. haha

  5. We also use that 1st degree poop juice in Philippines if the bile is not available in "goat poop soup"or papaitan that u tried.. they use that ingredients on a northern Philippines..

  6. The fact the guy is fine with juiced cow cud and congealed spiced pig's blood but draws the line at raw dragonfly larvae demonstrates how arbitrary our rules on what's edible and what's not can be.

  7. This is one of the most interesting things I have seem in this channel. I find it surprising to see that Karo has this type of ‘rare’ menu, because in my area, there is also a local tribe which cooks using the same ingredient – cow’s ‘juice’, but I found the Karo tribe has more mixtures in their menu.
