So many people are abandoning their pets cuz of the raising cost of living..it is heartbreaking..not only there but everywhere..i am old with little money but i save enough month to take 1 stray cat to get fixed i know it"s not much but takis has taught me to help what u can..our humane society charges 35 for male n 50 for a female..thanks for sharing

15. I don't get it. Why do they chain so many dogs? As guard dogs? But the only thing then they can do is bark but not protect. Also often they are chained in the middle of nowhere. What's the point of that?

22. He looks quite healthy, despite the chains. Compared to many other chained rescues And he has lived a long time l guess the owners want a younger one or they can't feed. Nevertheless the wasn't dumped in some godforsaken place to die an agonising death. Thanks Takis.

26. Why are people still locking dogs on a chain when I thought it recently became illegal to do so in Crete where you are?

27. How was he "taking care" of him? Chained outside throwing water & food at him? 😡 How did you resist not punching him? And dogs being the wonderful creatures that they are he probably did not want to leave his owner as horrible of a person as he is. I hope the jerk does not get another dog. Sorry, this gets me so mad 😡

28. Poor baby so sad denied freedom for 15 years' on the one hand it's a positive action on the owner's part, to relinquish him but would ask the question what kind of care did he give the dog he couldn't give any more? His life begins now so deserved bless him and papa T x

29. Isn’t it illegal to keep dogs on chains! I think it’s great that old guy surrendered his dog to Takis, on the other hand, I also think it’s just an easy option to call Takis and not take some responsibility. Why the heck was the dog chained up for 15 years? Takis is a much better person than I ever could be in this situation as I would want to tell the owner just what I felt about him doing this to a dog for 15 years. Thank you Takis🙏🏼🇬🇧
