From the many boats on fire in various videos, it is the first time I see people having a prompt, intelligent reaction: 2 guys with fire extinguishers jumped in action within a minute, then a boat pulling the wreck on fire away from the dock and other boats, limiting the damage. Certainly it was not intelligent starting the engine(s) without prior ventilating the engine compartment. There is much to learn "what NOT to do" from your videos… if only people wanted to learn instead of stupidly laughing…
Some/most people have no common sense .

Always, Always, Always vent your engine space for 5 minutes before starting a gas engine. A diesel need compression before combustion! In rare instances diesel fog can be a detonation hazard.

5:18 That was fucking hysterical! Excellent satire recreation of the Walleye fishing cheaters. I actually thought it was real from a different angle…until I saw the quarters and oranges. Thor's hammer and an actual filet-o-fish from Mc Donald's really set it off. LOL
The boat exploding, this happens more often then most think. Older boat with gasoline powered inboards. Most common cause is obviously gas vapors in the engine room. But something sparked and ignited the vapors. It's not uncommon for people with older boats to use automotive parts on the engines since the engines are usually based off a GM or Ford V8. They should only use "marine" electrical components like starters and alternators. They are supposed to be ignition protected, all electrical connections sealed. But you put an automotive starter from Advance Auto Parts and it is only a matter of time. This location looks like the Bahamas or some other island in the Caribbean….using cheaper auto parts on the islands is more common there as good marine parts can be tough to get and cost 4 times as much. Look at the power of the initial explosion…it blew the deck right off the hull and set it back down. Guy on the bridge was lucky as hell.
