I haven't read the books or play any of the games But I will definitely check them out, Henry Cavil is Netflix witcher, S1 was awesome for me as a normie S2 was SOO obvious that Henry was playing 2nd fiddle in his own show..watched Episode 3 S2 and switched off..good on Henry see what its becoming and leaving

6. I hated 99% of the show.
   The best scene was the uninterrupted fight scene in episode 1, season 1.
   Geralt fighting monsters, and interacting with Jaskier was the only enjoyable character scenes.

   Didn't give a toss about other characters.

   The writers were AWFUL.
   The pacing was tragic and they didn't improve it in season 2.

   No hate to the actors.

   I respect Cavill for leaving. He doesn't deserve to suffer through the sabotaging of a character he loves.

My ideal was Mads with writers focusing on the games 1 2 and 3 (and ideally Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone) but if they did that with Henry I would've been happy too…as soon as I started watching Season 1 I was like WTF is this…and Yennefer casting was bad too…Triss too….yeah it was dead from the start for me.

16. Thing is – Sapkowski himself loaths games due to fact he didn't expected them to be so successful and his attempt to juice additional money from CD Project Red did not quite went on his favor. He was hired by Netflix as consultant and sadly he's not like Rowling, Meyer and other writers who insist on their books to be screen-adapted as close to original as possible – he sings praises to writers as long as it puts money in his greedy pocket.
    Honestly, I am proud to see Cavill did left the show, sad he didn't do it sooner. I was left highly disappointed after season 1 when they ruined everything that was there to ruin. Basically they made fanfiction version of the Witcher. They failed 100000% to follow BOOK plot, cast was awful, and I'm surprised Cavill, being huge fan himself, tolerated this as long as he did. Now I only hope they will cancel the show completely.

19. I am not surprised by this as I thought season two was not very compelling. The least of which they cleaned Geralt up too much. I noticed in the first few minutes of the First episode of season two that there were some major differences. It's sad because Henry Cavill was their best source to make this a success.

24. My favourite ever book series. I love his writing.I stopped watching the Netflix series a few episodes into season 2. Didn't like it at all. Just does not stand up to the books.

25. Woko Haram is the scourge of Hollywood. It spreads like the plague. Secludedly of the Witcher, if they don't get rid of this woke screenplay writers that hate the original books and are unwilling to stick to it, the whole industry will suffer immensely. They have ruined so much with their SJW-BJ … If the don't do what the fans expect the fans will punish them with contempt.
    Approach: Screenplay writers will suffer a 75% claw back of their revenues if more than 50% of a fan base will jump off in the course of a season because of bad writing / storytelling / not sticking to the original

28. It is okay to have different opinion in the writing room. But major voice should be always the one which will please- more or less the fans- the payers. Many say they will still watch it, and that’s fine. To me, this is where I finish with Netflix altogether. If this is the “flagship” of Netflix I don’t want to be part of it. I was so excited to have THE Geralt on screen, the story made with modern visuals and passion from creators. All flushed away for what exactly. I will be recovering with the books and just imagine Henry’s face instead.

33. Definitely won't be watching this beyond S3. Henry carried this show hard in S2 with it's lackluster story and I'm sure the writers won't get any better in S3 and beyond. What really needs to happen is to fire all the writers and actually hire people who CARE about the source material. Beyond that, I can't see anyone giving a shit about this show after S4.

38. I wont be watching Hemsworth's Witcher – he's a lightweight. But in any case, series 2 went seriously off the tracks. It was more like Dr Who with swords and leather than the Witcher. And clearly series 3 is going to be the trainwreck. Not sure if I'll watch it.

39. Do they necessarily need to like to games/books?. For me, just to be part of a massive franchise and writing for a long and beloved fantasy world would be enough for me. I wouldn't actively verbalize my dislike, though. They could have potentially found other writing jobs; giving someone who loves this universe an opportunity to be part of a rewarding and enjoyable experience. It's unfortunate that their opinion and dislike has such a, in my opinion, negative outcome for the show.
