The same government which renovated this bridge just few months ago is also the one that is building the Kashmir bridge if the same lack of quality control, corruption and adjusting with low materials chalega dekh lete attitude is maintained. Then the disaster is going to be 100 times worse. That bridge is 360 meters above ground. Trains are going to go on that bridge. If the bridge collapses, then it's going to be 2000 lives lost minimum and Kashmiris themselves will instantly develop distrust of the rest of our country telling they don't want a government as dangerous as this who doesn't care for human life.

25. it is a 143 year old bridge. Bridge Building Safety not observed when renovation was done. It was opened to public before approved by authorities. A norm in India where safety is not observed and overloading the bridge. Common people are least bothered of overloading and Govt. too. ZERO SAFETY.Why? CORRUPTION.What about Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh? Relevant personnel in Govt should be arrested and made to pay dearly for this incident.

Bride collapse caused by resonance due to vibrations created by those hooligans and the overload.. that’s the reason Soldiers are not allowed to March on suspension bridges.. second issue is with the crowd management .. india is the only country where many accidents happen due to no crowd management. Engineers already know the resonance issue so I won’t blame unless they deliberately left some issues but there should have been some warnings for the limit like on many bridges..
    politically it is a golden opportunity for congress or Aap so you can cash this for vote gain and blame Modi I don’t mind..
