23. When an airplane is going down. You have to put on your oxygen mask first before you can help others. God bless you Takis and the shelter. It is alot of work. I have a dog. I can't imagine having 400 dogs to take care of. Self-care Takis so you can help the dogs. It's ok to share your feelings. Sharing is healing. Let go of the ignorant people and don't answer the phone. God is with you. God will take care of the World.

24. I don't blame you for getting upset and frustrated. I know you WANT to help all the dogs and cats in the world but understand that you can't. I know I wish I could adopt a dog from the local shelter but I can barely take care of myself and my husband, we are both crippled and pretty much housebound. I have no business having a pet. So I enjoy my love of dogs by watching your videos. It is important that you take care of yourself because without you, the dogs and cats you do help will suffer. People have to understand that you have limits in your abilities and resources. Why don't they volunteer at the shelter? Why don't they start one of their own in another part of Greece? Why don't they bother other shelters? It is because you are so good at what you do that people want YOU to save the dogs and cats of the world. Keep up the good fight, Takis, and don't let the selfish people get to you. Many of us understand and admire you for what you are able to accomplish! Thank you!

25. Some people are trying emotional blackmail. Saying the cat will stay in the road if you don’t take it !

26. Takis, I find that people nowadays are so different… They don't care about anything else but themselves. A friend of mine has 10 bedrooms house which he rents out for little money to people who needed help. They never ever do any cleaning around the house. They use electricity and water like crazy. He got so tired of doing all the work so he is thinking of getting rid of them all.

27. God bless Takis. We understand what he says and trust him and support him. My family donates 25 dollars each month. He has created the most perfect shelter in the world.

28. Good morning, Takis. Please feel free to "vent" anytime you want or need to. I have watched you for quite some time and the amount of work you do is phenomenal. Besides feeding all of the animals, you have to clean the areas, give some of them their meds, make sure all the dogs in a given area are compatible and the list goes on and on. This doesn't include the time it takes to make and post the videos, either. And one thing I have noticed is that there is never piles of 💩 laying around. That, in itself, would be a full-time job and I can't imagine what it would be like if you didn't.

    But one thing I've learned from you and the lady from Greece is that neither country has good comprehensive animal care and control laws or procedures. Add to that the fact that the fines and penalties for abuse or neglect are non-existent so that just makes things worse. We have the same problem here. So until the general population gets some kind of help, this problem will continue. Low-cost spay/neuter or TNR clinics such as the kind we have here in the US would be a TREMENDOUS help. If the vet clinics worked together, they could get a handle on this.

    In the meantime, keep up the good work. You're doing an extraordinary job and have been a big help to many animals, but as much as you'd like, you can't save them all.

30. Takis you are completly right!!!! The people that want you to have more animals and work they should come and be a volunteer for some weeks to know how Hard the work is. Your own safety is important, if its too much work and i think it is already and you are exhausted the whole shelter

45. You're an empathic person, and it's a good thing, this is why you're helping those animals. You can feel their pain and you are open to the feelings of others that can't speak. The world doesn't have enough of people just like you, and, unfortunately, you need to block those who aren't because they don't care more than their bellybutton. This is the curse of being sensitive and open to the environment. Don't let them get to you, they're worth nothing and you, everything.
