  2. I really enjoy what you're trying to do in your videos.
As a young licenced driver, i had the incredible luck to be instructed by my local military motorcycle force (gendarmerie franรงaise) and i have to add thoses guys are the best riders of the country. They use to explain all the time how to choose the safest trajectory in every situation and even afters i can't help but to agree : they are right.
Example : When the road turn left like in the first video, you should choose to hug the right side of your lane to widen your visual angle and get informations about what's coming sooner…
It'll also allow you to have more time to react, be visible sooner to vehicules traveling the opposite way and that may help by removing stress for tires to allow more leaning.

6.35 i strongly disagree with you :"nothing could be done". What about the 5 sec rule? You never ever switch lane under a bridge, entering a tunnel or litteraly anywhere after a huge luminosity change.

12.56 i strongly disagree with you (again) : this guy is frozen on the bike, slam the brakes and this will prevent the bike to turn. He could avoid the crash easily if he didn't panic. Braking is good but don't surrend so easily and release it soon enough to lean, move your body and pull yourself out of this misery.

15.02 It's dark out there. If only there was a light i could flash to signal i'm approching an intersection… wait, there is one but most people are to lazy to even use it.

  3. 26:50 Thing is Dan, in the UK, a bus is still a bus. And that's a van here as well. A lorry is what you yanks call a semi (A semi what by the way…?)
Regardless, appreciate the insightful analysis ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I'm an aussie, so could be wrong, but I believe neither of those are lorries. I think a lorry is a truck, and not a ute like you americans call them trucks, but an actual truck. again, could be wrong, someone feel free to correct me. either way, another great video, thanks Dan!!

  5. Cracks and potholes scare me the most as someone whoโ€™s buying a bike this week. I live in the Midwest so we have brutal winters that destroy our roads and constantly have construction everywhere. I know the roads well in my city and where the potholes are, but there are some cracks Iโ€™m gonna have to ride over ๐Ÿคง

  6. Can someone point out to Daniel that a bus isn't a lorry? Lorries are trucks, what we'd call semis and the like or flat-beds. Vans are still just vans too. ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. Scenario 1, the guy had his left blinker on, the whole time, then went right side of car, and changed his blinker to the right one, at the same time. Brilliant signaling of his planned intentions. Haha

  8. Dan, just for a heads up, that thing you called a 'bus', in the UK we call them a 'bus'. Also, that thing you called a 'van', we call a 'van'. ๐Ÿ˜‚
    Weird eh!?!

Lorries are generally Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) over 7.5tons usually non-articulated but could be articulated trucks too (the term truck and lorry are pretty much interchangeable, though we tend not to call pickups 'trucks', as the term is generally reserved for HGVs).

Try saying, "red lorry, yellow lorry", 5 times quickly ๐Ÿ˜…

  9. Lots of comments Dan,dunno if you will read this,I am a Aussie and was shocked watching a YouTube clip on what you Americans pay for medical expenses.seems to be a extra incentive to ride smart.

  10. Tired of seeing other riders being the high sheriff of the road and then riding like trash. You knew the expected outcome of riding is cars pulling in front of you. Shut up.
