3. My Fiance was in the Joplin tornado, it destroyed 32nd street it was creepy and erie. There are still parts that aren't recovered.

9. Yeah, some of that Montserrat video is footage from Dante's Peak.

10. Some of that footage filmed in Joplin was shown at the end of a film that was inspired by the tragedy.
    As a matter of fact, a few of these horrific events were translated into films.
    The film about the Indonesian tsunami starring Ewan McGregor & Naomi Watts is excellent & terrifying.
    That still shot [ @16:18 ] of the 3/11 tsunami in Japan is incredible. I've never seen that picture before.
    Tohoku earthquake wasn't the only seismological event to tweak the earth's axis. The two quakes (Haiti & Indonesia) mentioned earlier in the video also bumped the axis.
    Scary bleep, imho.

11. Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 12:12 There's a zoomed analysis clip of that footage on YouTube. When zoomed, it shows a UAP flying from behind, and into the meteor — completely penetrating and destroying it into 3 parts before flying away much faster than the meteor. I wonder who piloted the UAP to save the world that day. 😱

13. This may seem like a goofy thing to say, but I've viewed many videos of tornadoes, and if one looks at the part of the funnel as its on the ground, it appears to have tiny feet, tip-toeing through fields & barns, houses & schools.
    It's weird looking.

20. I was there for the moore tornado . . . i have pictures on my phone. I was a quarter of a mile in front of it as it crossed I-35, was listening to the radio as it b-lined right for my apartment, ended up going just south of it but man that was intense.

22. Super Typhoon Haiyan of 2013 should be at least an honorable mention here. It left around 6000 dead plus thousands more missing after it destroyed wide swathes of the central Philippines, and also Haiyan is one of the most powerful cyclones to ever make landfall on record. There are lots of available footages in the internet to show the destructive power of Super Typhoon Haiyan.

29. #10 Katrina killed more people than #9 through #2 combined. Hundreds of times over. It should be higher I think. People forget how devastating that was. Tornadoes that kill 2 or 3 don't compare to a hurricane that kills over 1,800 men, women, and children.

31. I still think about the Boxing Day Tsunami almost 20 years later, especially around this time of year. And the only thing I hope most people learned from it is if the ocean is acting weird… Get to high ground !
