2. My miniature poodle Emma is atleast 12 or 13 and can't see or hear but she still looks healthy, she eats and drinks uses the bathroom like any other dog and I help her in and out I will never put her down unless she's in physical pain because I will help her get around as long as i need to.

6. To any back yard/amateur breeders out there watching this, INCLUDING people who just think they have wonderful pets who's offspring would make wonderful pets:
   PLEASE don't breed for pure white OR blue merle! This blindness and deafness is all down to an idebtifiable genome! It's a so called recessive gene ehich means only when two animals (or humans) carrying it conceive will it likely express this way. It's directly conntected to a genetic marker for lack of pigmentation. Nature itself has therefore tried to insure the probability is low! Because pigment (all coloration except blue and white which is in fact NO pigmentation) is the exact same one responsible for development of the eyes and inner ear! Actual well educates breeders know all about this and avoid it, that's what pedigree means, it means expenses on testing genes and lengthy follow ups on offspring development and That's what you pay for, not merely "looks"! Charging lots of money for puppies bred on looks and nature alone in white or blue is a HUGE humane problem resulting in hundreds of thousands of euthanized puppies every year bc of the ignorance. The facts are staggeringly depressing. Breeds that are specifically white (and some blue eyed) like Maltese terriers, Samoyeds etc are different for a variety of reasons. But the trend of "creating" money making weird whiteness or marbles blue colors with blue eyes where they specifically do NOT belong (read the breed guidelines) is killing puppies everywhere! It's "cute" with different coloted eyes, but more times than not it means impaired hearing and or sight to the blue eye side, and its INHUMANE to aim for thay, or sell such a pupp without information of the risk!
   People like thos who rescue are heroes, but they aren't abundant enough to excuse poor breeding!
   I'm so sad to see so many exampled all around, especially in media. I'm happy for the lucky few who get to have good lives, but producing pets with huge debilitating defects is just CRUELTY and greed personified.
   Most just suffer and get killed. It's terribly disappointing these videos never adress the subject, bc they are all about humans felling good. 😢
