TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – One of the favorite food pastimes in Trinidad is to go to the river and have whatโs called a โriver lime,โ where you hang out with friends and family, cook some delicious food, and enjoy nature all at the same time. Today weโre heading to Caura River, where Kev is going to cook up some delicious curry goat!
Big thank you to #visitTrinidad for inviting me to Trinidad and Tobago and for making this trip happen! Guide to the things and food in this video: https://visittrinidad.tt/things-to-do/cuisine/caura-river-lime-caroni-bird-sanctuary-in-trinidad-with-mark-wiens/

Lester Nanan: Nanan Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours
We drove out to Caura River to first have our river lime. Kev was already busy in the setup tent kitchen along the riverside. On the menu, the main event was the Trinidadian curry goat, but we also had chana and potatoes, and curry duck. What I love so much about the Trinidad and Tobago curries are the layers of flavor – from the curry powder to the onions and garlic, to all the green seasoning like shadow beni and green onions and thyme. The recipes are amazing. We had an amazing feast, and I especially loved the curry goat and curry duck!
Nanan’s Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours – Next in the afternoon we headed out to Nanan’s Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours for a boat tour and dinner at the amazing bird sanctuary, where scarlet ibis roost for. It was an amazing experience, and even better because we had dinner on the boat!
And that completes another amazing day of food and sightseeing in Trinidad, food and nature at its best!

You're making me miss homeโฅ๏ธ I am glad you and join our food.๐ค๐
I wonder, with that small vault, if there could be a funny gym buddy, micro, and manager shenanigan where the gym buddy puts a trampoline in front of the small vault, the micro gets inside of it, and the manager replaces the vault with the micro still in it.
I want to move to Trinidad, I want fresh, farm, love, organic, peace and life with beautiful beings. I am currently stuck in California, which is hell. My soul is withering away and I turn 50 next year. I just need to enjoy, work and fullfill my last days on this planet. Trinidad seems to be the best option.
You should really try coming to our island of Guam. Make u try some local dishes. Like our kelaguens and red rice. Local bbqs. Big fan keep doing what u doing. God bless.

He can sure eat a lot of pepper. Wow!!
Mark – I love all those dishes . Fantastic journey and friendly people
A river lime is a must when you visit Trinidad and I am so pleased Mark got to experience this. There is nothing is better than a cool dip to wake up after the "ethnic-itis" (the lazy food coma) you experience after eating a good home cooked curry. Then Nanan's tour is also the best showcase of the Caroni River. He is so knowledgeable about our natural flora and fauna. So pleased you had fun, Hope you can come back around Carnival and or Christmas because the traditional cuisine is completely different at those times of the year.
hey kevin…….why not visit Srilanka. mark was here already so he knows the beauty
This whole TnT series is amazing…big up Mark
We love your respect of culture food around the world man ๐ค๐ฝ
