Dude usually I don’t like your videos because I click on it and you end up talking about different things but with this one to be honest I was very happy! Yes, the technical stuff is bad but, as you pointed out, we’re not the developers so we should stop pointing at them or act as if we were right there during the development process
The developers DID drop the ball on this. Don't make excuses man.
Nah, I can enjoy the game even if people are hating on it so much, over one thing. My issue is that fact that a lot of these "bugs" people show aren't really bad bugs overall, and just funny interactions or experiences that occurred throughout their game. Yeah, if you fall through the map, or get soft locked because of some quest/interaction didn't want to pop up, or if the game crashes and wipes your Switch memory; yeah, that's extremely bad. However, all I'm see is just complaints about the same thing, which isn't THAT bad, but to each their own; some people can't deal with FPS drops, or pop-in, or low res textures, and I get it, but I don't think most of these issues really overshadow most of the good the game has shown. Like personally, I can't stand the camera, it's wonky asf; but I just work around that and it doesn't kill my overall engagement with the game.
It's honestly ironic to me, when I was shitting on how Pokemon has gone down hill after B/W, and Sw/Sh was the nail in the coffin for me, but after playing Legends and then this; even though I was on the fence about the game, I got it, and honestly I think it's the best Pokemon has ever been. That doesn't mean the game itself is excused for having so many performance issues, but what the game does good, it does good; and that'd be the main gameplay loop of the Open World experience, the OST, and I dare say the structure of the 3 stories. They can hate how the gyms operate, they can hate on the designs, they can hate on whatever they wanna hate on; that's their own personal opinions on the matter, but I just wish people who are giving these critics would also give credit where credit is due.
I agreed with you at first but towards the end you sounded like a brainless consumer that doesn't care about quality. Don't give game freak the benefit of the doubt. That's not how this works. This is a multi billion dollar franchise. It's unacceptable. The game IS poorly optimized and data miners DO know how development works.
You're encouraging the "don't ask questions just consume product and get excited for next product" mentality. Mindless consumer. Took you 10mins to tell us to restart our game. Get real.
60 hours playing and i havent found a single issue, not even a bug or anything
all we as players can say is we speak from the experience that companies show us. when a company releases an unpolished game, and expects full AAA price for the game, we players have the right to complain about the polish of the game. with how much money the gamefreak company makes with its once every 3 year mainstream game alone, they could afford to hire people experienced in crafting 3d games to really push their games out better. they could afford to go longer then 3 years between mainstream titles to make sure they get polished properly.
This generation is one of the best mechanically, given i think Terastilization is one of the most diverse mechanics they have made yet, but one of my most hated visually as the hats can be very very silly depending on the pokemon and their general size.
and while you asked for us not to call gamefreak lazy, im sorry, but there is clear lack of trying when you have 3 'regional variants' of tauros, and they all look practically identical.
its been a very polarizing generation, and I think gamefreak needs to hire some new serious talent if they want to keep people playing, as I feel like many are finally fed up with the unfinished game bs that didnt nintendo even start giving refunds for the game?
Tone deaf.
the backup save is kinda like legends arceus
I love Pokemon, but I hate Scarlet and Violet for how rough and unfinished it is. If there were more people working on this game, and an extended development period, it might have been ok-ish. Sword and Shield disappointed me, these last games left me feeling pretty miffed. I wouldn’t recommend these beta tests to anyone.
Get to the point mate. And I watch the video for an amazing tip only to be told to close my game down and reload it. Wow wee
Also, been playing pokemon since gen 1 and this game reeks of laziness. It's like the b squad got a go at making a game. Missing so many qol stuff and so so much more annoying stuff either not there or not implamented properly. I like the game but I'm pissed that the game I grew up loving is starting to fall into that category where you expect shit games on release.
Just get to the point god damn
I did noticed that after 5 hours of playing the game did lag a bid with missing textures.
But yes, the basic, turn the game/system on and off is the basic strategy on soft fixing memory leaks. XD I do recommend that anything after 2 hours, please consider saving and restarting the game. Anything after 5 hours, consider restarting your console. Yes regarding not sleep, do a full shut down and boot up. It helps with system memory and performance. It's like resetting your PC after a super long game session.
This whole video is Bullshit
Scarlet and violet are great, once’s patched, hopefully some people will stop the bitching.
If you want some bad games to trash on… BDSP 💩
The memory leak issue can become so bad that it actually steals RAM that's dedicated to the Horizon OS (Switch's OS) to the point where pressing the Home button will register as Holding the Home button bringing up the quick menu overlay. Pressing the Power button can be registered as a long press and open the Power Menu!
I've woke my system while the game was suspended, my screen turned on, but the power menu came up. I pressed B to close the menu but my system completely powered off!
I would HIGHLY advise against having the game suspended on the Home menu for a long period of time (30+ minutes). I've had three separate instances where when the game is resumed, the game is soft locked, AND you cannot access the Home Menu. Quick Menu and Power Menu overlays will come up, you can make selections on those menus, but making selections won't work at all for about 5-ish minutes until the game un-fucks itself and allows the processor to process the next buffered controller input.
I haven't had the game crash to Home menu in the 60 hours that I've played, but I've seen it happen to a streamer. I'm a bit weary of auto-save as it's gone horribly wrong in the past Pokemon entries on the Switch so I keep auto-save off, but even if you have Auto-Save off, the game will still auto-save a backup save. Basically any instance that would proc an auto-save normally will proc a auto-backup save, as well as when you manually save the game.
TL:DR
1 – Save Often (like every time you open the X menu, just press X and then R)
2 – Close and re-open the game after about 2 to 3 hours of play
3 – NEVER leave the game open and suspended on the Home menu, this leads to system hangs
4 – Log off of Twitter, that website is cancer anyway.
i dont know if this is because i have a gen 1 switch or because i dont have much storage or somethin but my game lags like when i do anything, spin the camera around the character, moving around. but that gameplay i see that this guy is playing is very decent, i now know how fast koraidon actually is. but hope they fix this, never happend when playing arceus and hopefully there will be some kind of a patch. all in all, fun game but 2× more enjoyeble with better performance.
For all the haters, would you rather not have a pokemon game? Issues aside this game still slaps. Turn the resolution down to 720p and it fixes most of the jittering
The only way to fix this game is to boycott it and every pokemon game from now on until game freak learns how to make modern video games
End point is, Pokémon company is huge. They have no excuse. I enjoyed the main game for the most part. But the graphics, performance and animation slideshow pisses me off. Not to mention the absolutely broken Pokémon like hounds tone or that dolphin Pokémon. I've also been running into alot of bugs and the math ain't adding up sometimes. Competitive is not possible right now untill it's fixed
What a shitty clickbat title. SERIOUSLY. The nerve to release this at this time with this title.
That's low.
