  1. Hmm I dont know much about Hyena, but I do know they hunt FAR more than is commonly believed. Some figures putting their food source at 90% hunted, and they certainly dont just eat sick or old animals. They are one of the animals the most endurance and stamina and exhaust their prey by chasing and biting at them for hours wearing down even very big prey

  2. Well that hyena is as good as dead..in animal world. Yes it got up and tried to walk it off but it looks like those wounds are devastating, which will no doubt slowly kill it or another lion will finish it off.. I do respect the hyena and its courage!Damn, that spotted hyena had courage in animal world

  3. I have always loved hyenas, I love their entire way of life. From a human perspective they're probably the closest you can get to having a loving family unit. (Wolves are the closest animals to have this kind of bond) They seem to truly care for each other. When you see how the male lion takes on his responsibility in battles that sometimes lead to death, with no fear whatsoever, just enormous strength and resiliency, you really understand why he's king. Why the females submit and he eats first, and is truly treated like the king within his pride. It's horrific, but it's also beautiful.
