34. The way he described what a modern day Buddha would be like is a gross misunderstanding of Buddhism and the Buddha nature. Saying he would have money and power and be a CEO or would strive for those things is so far removed from buddhism..Gautama was born a royal, he was a great prince who would inherit a great kingdom but he gave all that away and took up the life of a commoner and ascetic ridding himself of the material and desire in order to achieve enlightenment.
