More Than 1 Million People in Kenya Don’t Have Water

Spread The Viralist

As East Africa’s worst drought in decades ravages parts of Kenya, there are some areas in its worst-hit Mandera region where entire populations simply do not have access to water. Elwak is one such town of some 100,000 people, a majority of whom are living life without the necessity. Water bodies that once sustained entire communities in the area have long dried up, as have the wells set up as replacements. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains.

  1. If there's no assistance in water supply for both ppl & animals, and the mother nature is not helping out, then UN, Red Cross, Unicef etc., need to step up and relocate EVERYONE to closer and more liveable territories! This is mind-boggling why that suffering has been dragging for yrs?!

  2. I can't lie, I honestly couldn't care less.
Too many charities have been collecting
too much money for the same exact
    problem happening in impoverished
countries for over 70+ years. You mean to
tell me that after all of the multi-trillions
of dollars given to you, you STILL haven't
cured cancer? You STILL haven't clothed
the naked, you STILL didn't feed the
hungry, you STILL haven't given Kenya
water? Where the h3ll is all this money
going? Probably being recycled back into
making dumpy videos like this telling
the everyday person that they have to
give money that they don't have to
people that probably won't ever see a
    penny if that money..

  3. Am a Kenyan and this is true.
For the better part of the year we have faced drought and hunger.
Animals and people have been directly affected.

  4. If it is true that a human cannot live a week without water, then one week from now there should be about a million dead people there. I'm betting that won't happen.

  5. Buy don’t worry the USA will send billions to Ukraine!! And it’s all unaccounted for . This seems like where we should send stuff .

  6. Billions of dollars were sent to Kenya for water plants & tanks…..what gives ? Come on , this has been going on for 50 years and still no water ? Kenya government takes the cash & keeps it , people thirst still

  7. People don't care.
We've seen so many help Africa ads, I think people instinctively tune them out.
Like how we tune out Wikipedia's constant asking for donations.
